Check in was to be at 4. We did not get code to door til 5.30. Delayed due to cleaning. This is 1 of 2 houses on a lot with the same address. We constantly had people knocking on our door, looking to party, thinking it was the 2nd house - all night. The king bed has a broken boxspring causing the center of the mattress to sag 6-8 inches. There is mimimal kitchenware and No glassware. There was 4 extra large mugs and bowls, plates. No glasses. Parking was an issue. Was told we could park in street or church parking lot. Street parking was always full so we parked in church lot. Was greeted by police the next morning. NOT allowed to use church parking lot.

Perfect for our Needs
We stayed here during a family holiday gathering as we have family in Chapel Hill. The house has everything we need. Emmanuel was responsive and welcoming. And the location worked out well for us. I would recommend staying here if you are in the area.

Nice property in a not so nice neighborhood
The bungalow was quaint and clean. The bedrooms really need some sort of room darkening curtains. The street lights made it extremely difficult to sleep. The bungalow is situated right on top of another property. When you pull up into the driveway, you are staring into the house's front door. There were often people hanging out in the church parking lot across the street. On the last night of our stay around midnight, I heard voices outside my window and then someone started banging on the side door of the property. My friend and I (both female) were frightened so I called the police. They came for a look around and told us they would patrol throughout the night, A while later, I heard the voices again and saw 10-12 males coming out from a house across the street walking away. We let the owner know in the morning, but we never heard back from him, which was very disappointing. We suggested adding a couple of security chains to the doors for added security. While we are aware that this is not in the property owner's control, we did feel the need to make others aware.

Good Location
Not good communication with check- in. We were waiting on cleaning staff to get in. The window coverings did not block the light from street lights so it was hard to sleep! Not much in the kitchen for cooking a meal. Very basic . Gee for staying is higher due to deposit

Downtown Durham Delight
Perfect location for all things Durham. Great size for our group. 2 private bathrooms for each bedroom was a PLUS. Clean and stocked for all our needs. Comfy beds. Only complaints-darker curtains since street light shines through curtains and there are no blinds. Also, I had to reach out to property owner twice on day of arrival (within hours of arrival) because we had not received checkin info. Once we got there and settled it was an amazing time!!

The Perfect Place
This house was conveniently located, exceptionally clean, stocked with all necessities (and more), available parking and well designed. My wife, daughter and I stayed there for 5 days while we were setting up and furnishing my daughters new apartment. Have 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is unusual for a place this size but it made our time much more efficient. We could not think of a single thing to make this place better.

Highly Recommend!
Just to give you an idea of how wonderful this VRBO was... when we asked my son what his favorite part of the trip was he said it was staying at the bungalow! :) We loved the fact that it had 2 bathrooms which made the mornings go much faster. It was centrally located so we were able to get to many of the city's attractions quickly and without an issue. The neighborhood was quiet and we were able to park in a church parking lot across the street which was very handy. This is a great price for a beautiful, modern bungalow with family-friendly amenities (e.g dishwasher, washer/dryer, Netflix, etc.)

Super cute cottage
This is a super cute cottage (pictures don’t do it justice). And the bed in the master bedroom is the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in away from home. You sink right into it (I was tempted to pull off the sheets to see what the mattress name brand was :) The neighborhood is fairly quiet although we were there over the weekend so there was some noise but not too much (this is the only thing I subtracted a star for and nothing the owner can control), but again this wouldn’t deter me from staying here again. The driveway is steep but not too bad, just something you find in property in Durham. Everything we we needed was available including coffee, sugar, cream, and coffee maker. Full kitchen, plenty of towels, and hot water. A nice living room area with a comfortable sectional, with room for 3-4. And this place is close to so much! I didn’t have a problem getting to any place I needed within minutes! If I had one critique it would be the smallest sink I’ve ever seen in a bathroom, which made it basically impossible to brush your teeth, without making a huge mess but the kitchen is right there :) and a tiny sink shouldn’t deter anyone, rent the place just to see it! If we need to stay in Durham again this will be the place we choose.
