"We had an incredible vacation and this villa was a fantastic home base for all of our adventures! Costa Rica was amazing and there were a ton of very cool activities to choose from.The villa was immaculate, the beach and property were simply beautiful and there were a ton of amenities and activities.We followed a tip from other reviewers and rented a golf cart for the duration of our stay. Having the golf cart was very convenient for getting around the Playa Flamingo area (restaurants, ice cream, shops, supermarket, etc). The golf cart was dropped off at the villa right after we arrived and picked up right before we left for the airport.We coordinated the golf cart, airport pick-up/drop-off, and all the excursions we went on (driver picks you up) through Alonso who is the property manager. Alonso really was the star of the show and every single thing we coordinated through him was seamless and without issue. He provided a detailed tour book ahead of time and we coordinated timing of all our activities over text. A helpful tip - there’s a Banco BCT outdoor ATM at the corner of Marina Flamingo (just to the left of the bright pink Cremrica sign). It’s not listed on google maps so I was going a lot farther to the Banco Nationale and Bank of Costa Rica ATM’s which ran out of money. Banco BCT didn’t run out of money and it dispenses colones & dollars.Costa Rica was by far our best, most exciting vacation yet and will be our vacation benchmark going forward!"

"Our group recently stayed at this stunning villa in Costa Rica, and it was absolutely an unforgettable experience! The house itself is breathtaking, beautifully designed, and provided the perfect backdrop for our vacation. We were especially pleased with how easily we could access nearby restaurants and the fantastic pool/beach club.Samantha, our house host, was simply incredible! She took care of everything—making dinner reservations, grocery shopping, and addressing our last-minute requests with remarkable attentiveness. Her delicious breakfasts were a highlight of our mornings, and we were all thrilled when she prepared a traditional dinner for us one evening. This villa exceeded our expectations in every way, and we’re already planning to book it again for our next trip to Costa Rica. I've even started recommending it to friends! "We couldn’t fault this resort. From start to finish and everything in between it was the best time we’d had on holiday ever. The resort is beautiful, clean, safe and everyone is so friendly and helpful. There was so much to do but we loved that a lot of this revolves around making the most of the beautiful ecological diversity of the region. Food options were plentiful, varied and very very good. No shortage of choice and all well cooked by amazing staff. The room was fabulous huge incredibly comfortable bed and my son was made to feel so welcome and part of the whole thing which was really special for us. He was made to feel comfortable and included and he had so much fun with the whole team especially Bryan and Kendely in the entertainment team and Emerson at the kayak bar. All the staff were amazing and I cannot recommend the resort highly enough. Embrace the beach and the local culture, enjoy the wildlife on offer and come you won’t regret it. "

"Our family had a magical experience at this lovely home, located in the jungle. Visits with the howler monkeys in the morning and evening, iguanas, birds and sounds in the distance, made our stay exceptional. Mariela was a huge help to us and Eduardo, who was our ride during our trip was a wealth of information. Only one issue, you are somewhat isolated and will need a car rental or as we did, hire Eduardo, who had a van that fit all ten of us, and took us wherever we wanted, including food shopping on the days we left the property or weren't at the beach, which is a lovely 20 minute walk to. Kitchen was spacious and well used by our family, pool was a big hit too. Highly recommend."

"We had a fantastic stay at this vrbo. The location is so close the beach- it’s about 3 mins walk. There is a lovely clean pool and apartment itself is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen has everything we needed to cook for ourselves but when we didn’t- there was the restaurant called coco loco right around the corner with amazing fruity cocktails. The owner was very responsive to a couple of small things that came up and he fixed it right away. For reference there were 3 teens and two adults staying here. We will be back! "

"This property was nothing short of amazing! From the 300 degree ocean views from inside and outside this house off the rocky peninsula, the beautiful pools and decks, the amazing Flamingo beach steps away, snorkeling around the rocks, surfing and fishing nearby, a fabulous housekeeper in Reynaldo on site, a very responsive host in Max, and an unbelievable Chef Dania available to complete our perfect dream vacation. It’s no wonder why Chef Dania told our three family group of 16 that this house was her favorite “office”. Thank you Max! Pura Vida"

"I stayed at Conchal on my first & last day in Costa Rica. The staff at Conchal are exceptional! They go above & beyond to ensure you're comfortable & well taken care of. They were also very flexible with check in times. The shuttle service to and from the airport was seamless & communication from the hotel was great. The Costa Rican breakfast included was so delicious & the drinks made by the fabulous bartender Mr. X were amazing! Jennifer at Reception is phenomenal. She arranged a catamaran & snorkel tour for me with lunch and transportation to & from the hotel included. The rooms are cozy, A/C was perfect & pool is nice. The greetings from the moneys & Iguanas around the property were unforgettable. 100% would stay here again. "

"It is only a block away from the beach , some local options for food in walking distance, the pool is open 24/7 unless they are cleaning it. Board games on site, beds comfy and clean, all amenities you need. parking in front. Not a lot to do in Brasilito but great location to get to everything. The owners of the condo are really great to deal with and remember to take a photo of the emergency numbers on the kitchen counter just in case. "

"Our family of six (wife, myself, parents and two teenagers) stayed in the penthouse for 10 days. It feels more spacious than the pictures shown and the view is spectacular. Every morning family members would find themselves with a cup of coffee or juice on the lanai and every afternoon a beer or cocktail sitting outside and staring out at the waves. Pros: Near to restaurants, activities and beaches. Playa Flamingo Marina 10 minutes away with Surf Box restaurant and Planet Dolphin Catamaran trip. Playa Flamingo minutes away and Coco Loco restaurant. Playa Tamarindo 30min away for surfing. Our favorite restaurants were El Tiki (with chef Roy from all the previous reviews(!) and Gracia del Mar, both within 10 minutes drive. Daughters enjoyed the two pools in the complex. My father, daughters and I all played billliards some of the evenings. Appliances worked mostly as expected. Coffee pot, blender, beach towels. Elevator to the penthouse functional. Area felt safe.The cons (minor things that you might or might not care about): Water temperatures were lukewarm at max and all the faucets calcified so water streams poor. Dryer slow/multiple runs. Bought own toilet paper/paper tower after we couldn't find extra (manager Allen responsive, brought some next day). Drive up the hill to unit is steep, full of ruts, too far to walk anywhere. Wifi sporadic.Overall it was a great stay and our family would recommend this unit. "

"When I want a quick Costa Rican vacation I always stay within Reserva Conchal where this unit is located. The unit is simply fantastic. It has everything you need in the house including laundry. The home was clean, the host was very responsive for the one small issue we had and overall the place was fantastic and well priced.The only thing I wish the unit had was a BBQ on the patio, but there is one at the pool which we used while we waited out the rain. Overall I would highly recommend this place to stay if you find yourself in Costa Rica"

"After reading the reviews we had pretty high expectations for this property and we were NOT disappointed! Keith’s unit at the Palms is very spacious and well-kept. Keith also kept open lines of communication with us for the whole trip and between Keith and the 24 hour resort concierge if there was literally “anything” we needed it was taken care of immediately. There is a little loft area on top of one of the bedrooms that our 10 year old son absolutely loved. There is a bakery truck and a seafood truck that comes a couple of times per week and we able to try both. The bakery truck is great and has lots of pastries, breads etc. For transportation getting around the resort has a shuttle bus, and they also have golf cart rentals (about 65usd per day) however we opted to use Uber mainly for the short trips which was cost effective, quick, and we didn’t have to drive at all. For transportation to and from the airport I would recommend going through Keith or the resort, they will make sure that you have a driver ready and waiting. For your stay at the resort and in Costa Rica in general I would recommend getting WhatsApp as most calls and messaging are conducted there. We also got Esims through Airalo and 1 gig of data was plenty for the week. I’m running out of room but the highlight was having the pleasure of dealing with Keith who will ensure that you are 100% happy. You are in good hands with this host and I would not hesitate to go back! Pura Vida!"

"Wow wow wow! This property is off the charts beautiful!! bedrooms are all privately situated and air-conditioned! Beautiful TV room plenty of kitchen space grill pool fridge. We spent most of our vacation in the infinity pool and the seating area near the pool. The sunset over the pool is one that I will never forget. Beach access off the property with private staircase and beach chairs available. Great waves warm water. Several restaurants in walking distance. Would highly recommend this place for a family getaway service and staff 10 stars!! we saw monkeys, lizards, parrots from the house. Would recommend getting a golf cart to get into town and for groceries."

"Villa Ocaso did not disappoint! Spent a week with friends at this absolutely stunning property in beautiful Playa Flamingo. The wonderfully private villa was well appointed with many nods to Costa Rica's rich history. From the moment we stepped off the plane our every need was met. Everyone from the Property manager to the transportation company, housekeeper, and chefs were amazing. We also opted for some additional services which were absolutely fantastic. This property is a must stay! Will absolutely be returning. "
