"The front of the building was under construction so it took us a few minutes to find the hotel, which is not something I would blame them for. The room was typical of other hotels in England, which is compact and utilizes all its space effectively. The staff was courteous and helpful. Best of all is the location. It is a pedestrian only area so there are restaurants and pubs nearby. Many of the sights are very close as well. If you have a car, the public parking lot is only a short walk, but you should drop off your luggage just outside the pedestrian area before parking the car."

"Staff were so friendly and helpful, a credit to the hotel. Room was lovely with good air con. Complimentary breakfast was great and got a table straight away. In the afternoon the seating area by reception was a little dirty still from breakfast. Was able to store luggage easily and conveniently located to the sights and train station. Highly recommend"

"Terrible view from room of a flat roof with air conditioning units . The room itself was fine , very clean , as described breakfast good, location good and the car park is a bargain. Staff nice, bathroom looked to have been updated but the carpet all the way through needs changing"

"Rooms need updating on the second floor the furniture is dated and falling apart Bathrooms good condition the.pillows are hard need to be softer. Rooms very hot in July one small noisy fan provided if not putting in air conditioning then supply few more upright standing fans in the rooms. I would also say the entertainment staff worked very hard you could provide maybe 1 or 2 professional acts. The breakfast very good you need to provide fruit in morning. Overall I enjoyed my stay and good value for money."

"The hotel had everything needed for a short stay but would have struggled if staying longer in the summer due to lack of fridges or aircon in the rooms."

Sandbanks Hotel

"Our room was in the newer part of the hotel, with a good size room and balcony overlooking the beach. A big bed, very firm and clean. Bathroom was a little dated and well worn, but clean. You can’t beat the location of this hotel, literally a couple of steps down from the terrace and you are on soft sandy beach with amazing views. We also used the pool, it’s small and again dated, but clean and has a lifeguard on duty during opening hours. Breakfast is a generous selection from buffet full English to continental pastries, fruit, yoghurt and the conveyor toasters! Sure to delight the kids. We also had their “pizza on the beach” cooked outside on the terrace until 5pm. There’s not a huge selection of places to eat within walking distance, so the catering here is popular and not horrendously priced. Absolutely recommend for a couple of days at the beach for families."

"I really felt welcoming the staff are very friendly, didn't feel uncomfortable at all, the only thing I didn't like was although we didn't need to check out until 11am the cleaner was knocking on our door at 10.25am and we was trying to get the kids ready to leave."
