The apartment consisted of a large bedroom, living room / kitchen and bathroom with a balcony overlooking an inlet of the sea. As a family-owned hotel, it was lovely to meet them all and to be treated with such welcoming kindness. In the evenings, we were often somewhere on the island but if we were at the hotel, they shared their family evening meal, which was always delicious. We felt like we were at home. The rooms were cleaned daily except Sundays and were immaculate. "

Mehrfach wurde das Haus gereinigt und immer stand danach eine Überraschung auf dem Tisch, selbst gemacht! Grandios und äußerst schmackhaft. Ein Auto ist aufgrund der Lage unabdingbar. "We spent 2 fantastic weeks in Wendy’s property outside Kalyves. Villa is stunning, photos do not do it justice. Communications with Wendy were answered quickly and the whole booking went smoothly and without any hitches.A car is a must, Kalyves is too far to walk to and return journey is up a steep hill. Also Crete itself is beautiful and requires further investigation so a car is essential.All in all a fantastic holiday topped off by a 5 star villa."

"The property itself was good but the big shock was having a derelict building site eye sore immediately next to the property. This has obviously been like this for some time given the state of things on the building site, and your photos and information did not mention this. The kitchen was also very lacking in equipment, even down to no trays for the oven, only a single rack to use and only 4 mugs, etc. We were very disappointed in this and look forward to your response "

"This is an excellent base, to explore Chania and the western part of Crete. It was so peaceful. The house is wonderful, with great spaces inside and out to congregate. But, it was also easy to have some privacy."
