This was a short overnight trip for my son and me. We enjoyed our stay at Inn by the Harbor because it was a very beautiful hotel. It was small but the patio area was beautiful. Our room also had a very cute and well stocked kitchen which sadly we did not use. The bedroom and bathroom were a very comfortable size. There were also restaurants with in walking distance! Next time I want to go with my husband!

Please keep in mind. The pictures of this hotel are not actually what the hotel looks like. The rooms are very mid, the shower water smells a little like sulfur and there's many homeless people around the property.

This place was a great stay. It’s a small hacienda style hotel with a nice inner courtyard. Nothing fancy, but nice. I’d give it a 5 star, but we had a small ant problem(which was promptly fixed). The breakfast is very good, and the staff are very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely stay again.

A very quaint and comfortable property located within three blocks of the beach and a half a mile from the Santa Barbara pier. Room was very comfortable with a large king bed small kitchen and small 3/4 shower bathroom, too. Concierge staff, especially Mickey, were very helpful and entertaining with restaurants dining tips etc. However, as a retired commercial real estate appraiser with 45 years experience, the accommodations were overpriced for what was presented. What’s up, kid?

Everything was great. This is definitely a hidden gym. The staff work extra hard to ensure a pleasant experience. We made sure to tidy up after ourselves to not create extra work for them. And we made sure that they got tipped out appropriately. Hard to find people that stand behind their work, this business does. We have been here once before and had a pleasant experience as well, we'll be back soon

Stayed for three nights with family. The property itself was nice, and having a full kitchen was helpful for the trip. It was in quick driving distance to beach areas, downtown, and Funk Zone. Staff were nice and the breakfast was pretty convenient before heading out in the morning. Two small complaints though. First the bathroom door was slightly pulling out from the doorframe at the hinge, making the door hard to close. Second, all the rooms face a narrow courtyard, which is nice aesthetically but offers little privacy unless you keep your window drapes shut at all times.

The property hired a good photographer to take its pictures for the booking site, which made us believe the property was a luxury place. We stayed in a suite with 3 rooms and a kitchen. The property itself is old and basic. The rooms were old and nothing special at all. The beds were comfortable. A very small bathroom. Cleanliness was good. Breakfast was terrible. Very basic pastry and apples. We ended up eating elsewherez The staff was very nice and helpful.

The property is an older-style motel that’s been completely redone and redecorated. Rooms are fresh, large bathrooms, easy parking. They have a simple but good breakfast. Easy walking distance to State street or the beach.

During our honeymoon, trip from San Francisco to L.A. in March 2026, we stayed here one night. I had booked a Deluxe Room with King Bed for $309.00. From the online photo of this particular room type, and for the price, I was expecting something special, but was assigned dark, dingy room #216, located on the ground floor at the rear of the property. Instead of the expected garden view with floor to ceiling windows as shown for this room type, there was no window at all in the front next to the entrance door. The only way to see the garden was to leave the door open! There was a rear window, facing a parking lot with a view of a bush and a large ugly storage container which we named "The dumpster". There was an array of junk out back too. We kept the blinds closed to pretend that view didn't exist. Of course the room was dark even during daytime. This room was NOTHING like the one in the photo and could not possibly be one of the deluxe rooms. My lady was so upset. I asked the front desk to ask for a better room but the only one available was an adjacent room 215 with a queen bed instead of the king. It did have a front window to the garden but the friendly desk person warned us that many people complain about that room because one wall is shared with the laundry room which is noisy. We stayed with the original dark, dingy room. What a disappointment! All nine other hotels on our trip were wonderful. I can't believe I chose this place over all the beautiful ones nearby.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Enjoyed the happy hour free wine, complete with crackers and cheese. Love how it is close to downtown and funk zone.
