“This is a gem of a quiet, accommodation spot with a nice sandy beach, small pool, a good restaurant and nice swimming in the ocean out front. The accommodation huts are perfect, the beds are decent and we felt as if we had our own private resort for some enjoyed R&R. It’s a short drive away from Placencia but well worth it for this experience. Kids loved the pool, paddle boards, hammocks and large beach area. I definitely recommend this place!! ”

“Property is beautiful, staff are great, amenities are good. Additional restaurants etc. are a short walk or golf cart ride away in the village of Hopkins. The areas that could improve slightly are the number of sun beds by the main pool by Charlie's bar. There were 9 beds which were regularly taken but room for several more. The Paddle House restaurant on site produced great food, not huge servings but great food. However, while the servers were all wonderful, the food seemed to come out of the……

“Mariposa Beach Resort is a little slice of heaven in Placencia. We booked a tree house for 4 nights at Mariposa Beach Resort not really doing a lot of research but WOW, I am so glad we booked here. Our stay was fantastic and far exceed my expectations! We arrived early the day of check in and were able to check in right away and were immediately given a welcome drink, which was a nice touch. We then were taken to our tree house in the garden area, which was very spacious, had a fantastic……

“Beds/ pillows comfortable. No fridge in room. Parking in front of room. Constructing a pool. Food in restaurant was good. Everything is new condition. Gates are closed at night for added security with a guard. Would stay here again. No problems. ”

“It is an older hotel, so that was a bit of a shocker for us at first. But the location was great and after the receptionist changed our rooms we were quite happy, we got a bigger room with a smaller shower, (not to small) and shady outside sitting area, we were quite happy. The room and bathroom were clean, and because we only stayed 2 days we did not need the room-service. They did bring beach towels and emptied garbage. The breakfast was good and plenty, People lovely, and a superb location. ”
