“My room was not clean at all. The restaurant is closed for 2 weeks, and only because they can’t/won’t staff it; and all the stuff for sale clogging up the lobby and all over the walls really cheapens the history and reputation of a once majestic hotel. It’s a shame that the non-local owners appear to view it as nothing but profit.”

“The room was adequate as far as the bed. General cleanliness lacked The bathroom had many holes in the wall that had not been patched. Brown splash stains on the wall. Shower head was filthy The water tank cover was not the proper one. Could see the water in the tank.Major safety issue. Towels had holes in them. Toothpaste stains on sink faucet.”

“All services were friendly and pleasant!! The staff were all courteous and accommodating. It is always nice to stay here each year for the 4th of July fiestas!!”

“There was bug on the bed. The fan in the bathroom didn't work and the water pressure in the shower was real bad. The TV in one of the room didn't work but once it was brought up to the office it got fixed.”

“We loved our stay at Casa Escondida. From beginning to end, the communication was excellent. Our food preferences were asked for, and our instructions for getting there were clearly defined. The breakfast was superb both days, and our chef shared local information and what we might like to see for that day. All the staff were so nice, and the people staying there at the same time as us were equally lovely.”

“The room was very large. Almost the size of an apartment. Very beautiful with the vigas & beautiful tile work. We have stayed here many times. Staff was very friendly.”

“Wonderful stay however all the coffee in the room was decaf when we tried to call the front desk the phone didn’t work in the room. Very frustrating for coffee drinkers. It’s not that difficult to have regular coffee, and sugar besides the old school gross sweet n low that no one uses anymore. The food was excellent. Just fix your phones and your coffee.”
