HIKERS HIDEOUT IN WEST SEDONA

A super quiet, super private, and super hidden place to get away from the world and relax. Amazing Red Rock Views and major trailhead 50 yards away from the property. Though we invite anyone to come enjoy our accommodations, this is the perfect spot for those who love to hike or mountain bike. Once you check in start with a stocked kitchenette, charcuterie board and a glass of wine. Have a seat on your private deck and enjoy the view of Sugarloaf Summit peaking from behind the greenery of the neighborhood.
There are select treats, soft drinks, and bottled water for your adventures. You may prepare a meal using either the kitchenette or the grill which has a griddle insert. We also provide basic ingredients to get you started. We have a list of our favorite dining destinations in the area and can direct you to the best winery’s and tasting rooms in Arizonas wine country. We start you off with select complementary bottles of wine and champagne.

From here you are a 2 minute drive down the hill to SR 89A, Sedona’s main drag with abundant shopping possibilities and dining experiences. Native to Northern Arizona, we are a phone call away with all the inside info on things to do in the area and what to avoid. We provide an information book with everything you need to know for your stay in Sedona. What we do not provide is a television (We hope you wouldn’t come here to watch the Telly) there is so very much to do and see here! Don’t waste a minute! Sedona is a magical place, and we aim to provide an equally magical lodging experience.

Sandra will be your primary host. She speaks English, Spanish and German and is a fantastic cook. Sandra will make sure you have everything you need for an enjoyable stay. You will also have contact information for your secondary host, Rick (who also speaks German) in the event you are in need of information or assistance.

Also, this is a wonderful neighborhood in which to take an evening or morning stroll and soak in all the natural beauty. The off-shoot trailhead just North of the property connects to Sugarloaf Trail and will branch to other popular trails in the area. This is just a fraction of the local splendor. And honestly, Sedona is only a taste of what this vast wonderland has to offer. One visit simply wont cut it.

We spent 4 very private days in this well-thought-out, attractive efficiency. Lots of amenities—accurate description on the website. 5 minute walk to Teacup Trail to Coffeepot Rock and to the Sugarloaf Loop Summit trailheads. Easy drive to Boynton Canyon and Doe Mountain trailheads. Informative welcome book with recommendations for hiking and dining. Looking forward to our next stay. Definitely a 10.

Perfect Hikers Hideaway
I stayed for one night alone as a mom vacation on my way from Flagstaff to Phoenix. I wanted a quiet place to relax and get some nice hiking where I did not have to drive and deal with parking. Teacup trail and Sugarloaf loop are very close and accessible from the property! The property was very clean and the host was responsive upon check-in and asked if there was anything I needed. The place was very clean and had a fully stocked mini kitchen! There was complimentary wine, charcuterie plate, and other food items. The hideaway is connected to the main residence (was not an issues for me) just something to note. Parking was tight so good for a smaller car. Overall wonderful stay and would recommend for solo travelers, couples, or groups of two!

Sweet spot in Sedona
This is a perfect place to stay when visiting Sedona. The bed was super comfy and all of the linens were excellent quality. The host generously left us a delicious cheese plate, wine, and even enough supplies to make a full breakfast in the morning. This place is in a quiet neighborhood and you can literally walk out the door and be on the trail in 2 minutes. We could not have been more pleased to stay here.

Very quaint. Lots of good food and snacks. Nice little kitchen area. Very nice Wall hung fireplace. Saw two big Javelina‘s in the neighbors yard eating their bird food. Real close to trailheads. Do not drink wine so we left the three bottles for the next people. enjoyed it!

More than expected
We were welcomed by a beautiful cheese plate and plenty to drink, snack, and sip 🍷 The location is ridiculously close to Sugarloaf. My fave part was seeing a herd of javelinas on the street! We had an EV, and the local park has plenty of chargers.

Great spot in Sedona
My partner and I had a great 3 night stay at the hiker hideaway. I did not realize that we didn’t have the entire house to ourselves, but that was my oversight when I booked. Didn’t matter though because it was private and quiet. Everything was super clean and organized. The bed was very comfortable. We used the propane grill with the flat top surface for cooking rather than the induction cooktop. There’s a little front porch area for morning coffee with a view through the trees of sugarloaf summit. The house is in a quiet, safe residential neighborhood. Location couldn’t be better for hiking, MTB in the area. We would def stay there again.

A True Escape
Hiker’s Hideout is a literary escape from reality disguised as a VRBO. This place was exactly what my husband and I needed for a reset. It was intimate and cozy, stocked with any and all amenities you could possibly need. The location is perfect! It’s located right by local hiking trails, but close enough for top-notch restaurants and window shopping. As for the host, she was easily accessible and very responsive!! I would recommend this to any couple who is seeking a reprieve from the monotony of everyday life! You’ll feel refreshed and ready to get back to your “Clark Kent” life just so you’ll have an excuse to take another vacation escape.

Just as advertised
The room was exactly as advertised. It is a lovely room on the back of a house in a quiet neighborhood. We were met with a fully stocked kitchenette including snacks, wine, and other goodies. The house is right on excellent walking paths with stunning views. The host was lovely and extremely responsive. The only issues is the comically small toilet…almost as if it were plucked from a preschool bathroom.

Lovely stay- peacful and quiet hideout
Location was awesome, restaurants and all basic necessities around the main street, but neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Property owners were responsive and understanding when we made an accomodation request. Water pressure was nice, if that's important to you, and kitchenette was a nice addition. We were able to cook up and enjoyed some of our leftovers from restaurants. We had peaceful afternoons hanging out by the deck, drinking wine and enjoying view of the mountain, taking in the nice breeze (we stayed around late October). I defenitely recommend!
