"Property beautifully presented, high level of cleanliness, nearly everything equipped just missing a couple of kitchen items, like small plates and heat protector stands. Price was expensive due to our original 2 week holiday which was booked 6 months in advance being cancelled 2 weeks prior to holiday date, which lead to booking this property as only property available on the Isle of Skye which made it expensive for a week!!"

"The perfect location for all of your Isle of Skye exploration. Nice staff and good clean rooms. My husband and I found the room nice with a beautiful first floor view of the grounds but a little cramped and maybe needing a little refresh. We were told it was an upgrade due to the view, however the room was next to the housekeeping closet which meant it was quite loud early in the morning. The breakfast each morning was lovely. Everyone we met on staff was really helpful and kind."

"The Marmalade Hotel is in a nice location that’s just a short walk (about 1/2 mile) from the center of Portree and harbor. The property is a nice mix of an older renovated traditional structure (which houses the hotel lobby, guest lounge, and restaurant) and a new modern structure where the guest rooms are located. The property as a whole has a clean, contemporary feel and is well cared for. The rooms are clean, contemporary and modest with nice amenities. I would stay here again when I return to Portree."

"Tolles Cottage! Zugegebenermaßen hatten wir bei der Anreise leichte Probleme es zu finden. Und drinnen riecht es im ersten Moment leicht modrig, was sich dann auch in der Kleidung festsetzt. Aber darüber sieht man gerne hinweg. Denn ansonsten gibt es hier absolut nichts zu meckern. Alles sauber, man hat viel Platz und die Ausstattung erlaubt es, dort auch gut kochen zu können. Es liegt ewas außerhalb, aber man ist in kurzer Zeit mit dem Auto in Portree. Und die Gastgeber antworten schnell und zuverlässig. Hier kann man sich wohlfühlen! Der perfekte Ausgangspunkt, um die atemberaubende Isle of Skye zu erkunden. Jederzeit würden wir dieses Cottage nochmal buchen!"

"A very pleasant stay. Breakfast and evening meals were particularly good. The evening meals can easily compete with any good restaurant on the island. A gem. The hotel is remote. There is a 2-mile narrow road with potholes to navigate to get to the property. Consequently, I left in the morning and returned late afternoon, spending the day on other activities. The hotel has a retreat-like quality. The sunroom is a wonderful space for rest and contemplation, or reading and games and conversation. Beautiful outlook on the loch. Also, hotel staff will do laundry for a fee, a huge boon since laundry services on the island are very limited. Definitely recommend if the remote setting is not a concern."
