One of the best places to enjoy a well-deserved holiday is, without a doubt, Mallorca. This island bathed by the Mediterranean Sea with its beaches and coves of crystal-clear waters, landscapes, vegetation and towns, ideal for disconnecting from the world and routine. One of them is the Port of Sóller. Have you ever dreamed of waking up in a holiday home on the first line of the sea, taking a diving course in crystal-clear waters or going on an excursion through the famous Sierra de Tramuntana? Now you can live an unbeatable holiday in Sa Caleta. What does this house hide that makes it the best option to enjoy the summer? Sa Caleta was built according to the canons of the sixties by a Mallorcan family that combined functionality and spaciousness. Currently, the different rooms have been renovated, adapting them so that the person who chooses Sa Caleta can enjoy a unique and attractive experience. The house has five bedrooms, two of them with a private terrace from where you can enjoy privileged views: the particular Port of Sóller with its three lighthouses, its mountains and nature, the sailboats moored in the bay, the swallows coming and going with destination to Sa Calobra or Cala Tuent, the docks with its Nautical Club and its fish market, where you can live directly how the boats arrive with their catch if you approach in the late afternoon. Sa Caleta has comforts and details so that you feel comfortable and at home: four renovated bathrooms (one with a bathtub) and a spacious, modern and functional kitchen, equipped with the necessary appliances to allow you to cook everything you propose. It has a spacious area where you can wash, hang and iron, if you wish. Sa Caleta offers the possibility that, if we are lovers of meat or vegetables on the grill, we can cook on the outdoor barbecue with our family or friends. The holiday home has five different areas at your disposal to enjoy your stay in Port de Sóller: a large interior room with a large window overlooking the Port; an office dining room, functional due to its proximity to the kitchen; an outdoor dining area under a porch where you can enjoy a barbecue; a rear outdoor area for relaxation hours with views of the mountain and the beautiful olive trees in the garden and a large front terrace with spectacular views of Port de Sóller where you can sunbathe, have dinner al fresco or have an aperitif enjoying the sunset. The house has the beach in front, which can be reached by simply crossing the pedestrian walkway, this will allow you to closely observe the youngest while they play or swim. Lastly, you will be able to see the exclusive tram that passes in front of the house and makes the journey to the town of Sóller. In this beautiful and traditional town, you can enjoy an aperitif or dinner in the square, delighting in the facade of the Church of San Bartomeu, a work by a disciple of Gaudí, architect of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. They brought the trends and tastes of the time, which they combined with local materials to build their residences that will surprise you when you find them on your walks. Visiting the Train Station, you will be able to appreciate the entrepreneurial spirit of its inhabitants who made it possible to facilitate communication with the capital, hindered by being surrounded by the high mountains of the Tramuntana Sierra. Leaving the town of Sóller and its Port, you can head to Palma, the capital, by train or by car through the tunnel. You will discover the hustle and bustle of its shops, its cultural heritage and the terraces of its bars where you can sit and rest. You can also take a tour of the north coast of the island, passing through charming cities such as Deià, Sa Foradada, Valldemossa, Banyalbufar or Andratx, enjoying wonderful views of the Mediterranean, mountain villages and sunsets. It is right on the boardwalk, so everything in the port is within walking distance. The views are amazing. The feeling is like being in a big, stately family house with all the comfort of a modern home. It even has an adorable little pool in the back, surrounded by flowers and trees. The house is big with lots of different spaces to relax. Communication with the host was effective and on point. We had a fantastic time. It felt like home. We loved the outdoor terrace at the front of the property. The proximity of the villa to the centre of the town and to the beach was brilliant making life very easy for swimming, shopping and eating out. The welcome pack was much appreciated as was the supply of water cooler drinking water with replacement bottles. In summary we feel this villa was outstanding. We would have appreciated at least one of the double bedrooms being transformed into a twin bedroom as we were a group of 8 women none of whom wanted to share a bed. The bath towels could do with an upgrade. It turned out this was a great positive as this villa was superb If you want to be close to Port de Soller you cannot get any better than this. A couple of rooms don't have Aircon and we found the mattresses a little firm but for the money we paid, it really was excellent. It looks really beautiful in the photos, and it is definitely as lovely as that, but there's at least for us a really magical vibe that photos just can't capture. Ok ok, about the house... There are 5 dining tables. You might think you don't need that many, but actually we used them all. A huge outdoor table at the back next to an open fire bbq grill so huge you can't pass the salt across it, it's not in the pictures, but it was sooooo nice having food cooked over an open fire, a cosy outdoor table at the back, a really lovely outdoor table on the front patio with views to die for, and two really nice dining areas inside. The house is HUGE. There are two staircases. That's how big it is. Our kids LOVED it. The bedrooms are cosy, everything is well-equipped and clean, there's a big utility area with washing machine and drying line out on the back patio. We loved that it felt like a family home. There is a piano/library room with a cabinet of vintage cameras. And another huge lounge with a comfy sofa for about 100 people to sit on ok ok not 100 but definitely 12 comfortably, we were four adults and 2 kids and everyone could lie down on the sofas at the same time. The view from the lounge/TV room is magical. The front bedrooms in the upstairs have huge patios overlooking the ocean with lovely loungers and the main patio is probably as big as the house itself. We LOVED sitting out there in the afternoon and evening sun watching the trams go past and looking out over the ocean. We swam daily, walking from the house in our swimsuits, towels, bare feet. We went scuba diving with Octopus Diving, which was awesome. Saw loads of Barracuda, an Octopus, and swam through a cave. It's about a 10-minute boat trip out of the cove to really beautiful dive spots. Location: awesome. We walked everywhere, you're just so close. Lovely restaurants, close to two convenience stores, and the tram is right nearby to take a trip into Soller. We took the tram one way, and a taxi back cheaper and quicker, obviously not as much of an experience though!. Want to know about some negatives? There are really only two: mosquitos which was easily solved, although we didn't realise until day 2 when the kids and been well and truly bitten we've left repellent for the next guests!! and a bit of a noise coming from the water pump / well so if you're a light sleeper that will probably bother you ##### Bronwen From a partner site ### 10/10 Excellent #### Johannes Oct 17, 2021 #### Tolle Lage Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren zu 6\. und es hat an nichts gefehlt! Angefangen bei einer kleinen Willkommensüberraschung, über die nette und schnelle Kommunikation bis hin zur Lage des Hauses waren wir sehr zufrieden. Die Unterkunft ist für 6 Leute von der Größe her mehr als ausreichend. We had some concerns about the lack of a pool, but we didn’t need it. there is less than 50 meters to the beach and the ocean. Support is quickly available for any issues. Secure parking is a real bonus although it is a little way from the Villa Better instructions on arrival on how to get to the Villa and the parking spot would have been helpful.
