Nice inexpensive rooms

Posted Nov 27, 2016
Pros: The office, room and grounds were clean, and the staff was very nice.
Cons: Coffee maker in room.
Like others have written, not the best but quite adequate and even nice for a 2-star hotel. The pool isn't working but right now it's winter and no big deal. The breakfast had fewer options than most hotel continental breakfasts but we were planning breakfast elsewhere anyway. The building is nice, not older, and the room was small with a queen bed but nice and clean. Refrigerator and microwave but no coffee maker in the room - there is one in the office which was close to our room, plus Starbucks across the parking lot. The room was comfortable and not noisy in spite of being near busy city streets. We had a bathroom for the handicapped which was huge and clean, with dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and soap. The bed was nice, the pillows weren't full size but comfy and clean. We just needed an inexpensive and clean room for a night and that's what we got. This hotel is fine for a quick, cost-cutting night or two and we would definitely stay here again.

Clean and Cheap

Posted Nov 19, 2016
Pros: Hairdryer and iron were excellent!! Bed was clean and comfy. Also, the free coffee and breakfast was very nice.
Cons: The television was a big old fashioned flat screen that took up a lot of space. A flat screen would be a great improvement.
Location: It was easy getting around. Downtown Santa Rosa is quaint and really trying to elevate itself. Calistoga is a must see, along with wine tours, etc
We have never been to California and we were there for a wedding in Calistoga. Most of the hotels in Calistoga are extremely expensive so we took a chance here. We were pleasantly surprised! The bed was comfy and clean. The towels were clean and white. The iron and the hairdryer were excellent!! The location is OK, right off the freeway, with Starbucks in the lot. There were some signs that this is a depressed area in Santa Rosa, however in general we felt safe.

Hotel was good. Last minute stay. Booked online 1 hour before. Simple and quick check in. Room in good condition. Only concern, room a little stuffy.

Hideous. Don't bother.

Posted Oct 19, 2016
Location: RIGHT by the 101 freeway, north of downtown Santa Rosa by a few miles.
Very difficult to find, made worse by two employees' inability to give simple directions there from Santa Rosa. A cleanliness disaster: Overwhelming perfume smell as you enter, designed to hide other smells and impossible to air out. Rug felt dirty. Dried urine on the toilet seat. Tub clearly not cleaned. I did not unpack; couldn't wait to leave. By the way, it cost as much or more than any other place in the Santa Rosa area. Not a best value or good place to stay. Stay AWAY.

Little noisy with the group bikers leave early morning. Room lilltle small for double beds. It is hard to sit and eat. No out door place and garden to sit beside the small room.

Cons: cleanliness and safety...the top two things.
Location: there's a Starbuck's right across the parking lot.
there was a lot of hair on the bathroom floor that didn't belong to us.... and the door to our room didn't fully latch which i discovered the next morning.

Tight Quarters

Posted Aug 31, 2016
Pros: Location
Cons: Bigger rooms
Very small rooms. Actually, difficult to move around the room,,,just my wife & I. Comfortable bed...however...they need to use more bleach to get the stains??? out of the sheets (& towels). Only stayed 2 nights si it was bearable. Oh..did I mention small rooms?

Marginal at Best

Posted Aug 28, 2016
Night manager was curt, asking inappropriate questions about my service dog, suggesting because he wasn't beside me but with my husband, my dog was not legal. Rug had multiple stains in several locations, small room with furniture too large, leaving narrow space to get anywhere in the room. Bed was very soft.
