Had to show you how to use the key… It’s an electronic key yes scan it over the electronic lock.🙄 I reserved a king bed non-smoking, the entire non-smoking floor smelled like cigarette smoke! My room was not a king bed!! It felt more like a double sized bed. My boyfriend is 6 foot six. That is why we needed a king bed. We were practically sleeping on top of each other and his feet nearlyhanging off the end of the bed! The TV was messed up. Had to call the front desk using our cell phone. The room phone would not dial down to the front desk?! The refrigerator was not plugged in, so it was not cold! We brought food in and just hoped that it would cool down quickly. Also, the hallway that smelled like cigarette smoke was also hot in temperature. I definitely overpaid for what we got especially since we didn’t get a king bed! I have a service animal because I have services that require an animal. The host threw papers in my face, told me to get the f\*\*\* out of there hotel and that they have nothing for me. Then told me that we have to accept their new hotel room that was double the price and charged me for my service animal which is illegal. I was shaking because I was scared of this man. He was screaming he was violent and I did not know where he was going to escalate. I paid for the hotel and paid for my service animal because of this. And then when I got the hotel room it smelled so bad I had to go to Walmart to get something to get rid of the smell. They're betting is horrible, I don't think they wash it. It was itchy and it smelled. I went and got new linen to lay in. I will be reaching out to Expedia, better Business bureau, and leaving reports on every review option I can. Not only is this not a good hotel it's a dangerous one. I was coming here to check out Missouri and see if I wanted to move here and he was the first person I experienced when I got here. If you feel like you need to stay here cuz there's no other options reach out to me and I will find you a different place. I went back down to the front desk. They immediately found me a new room (upgraded at no extra cost). The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There is not an elevator so that's a negative but I made it. It’s American Inn as of August 1st. So I had to pay AGAIN for my stay because I booked in July. I’m waiting for OYO to refund me my payment but as of right now I’m out almost $600 on a 4 night stay. This should have been communicated to me so I could have had the time to cancel my booking and find somewhere else to stay. Staff did not know why and no offer to find out. He told me you pay here if you want to stay here. He was tired of waiting on hotels.com to pay him. Needless to say with a car load of kids at 10pm I paid him again to stay there.
