“Excellent place to stay.Good location for exploring the area. Local walks Hadrians wall etc.We stayed in the Hadrian suite.Very spacious with nice roll top bath.We ate in the bar on burger night. Again Excellent.Staff were friendly especially the breakfast lady.Full of smiles in the morning. Would definitely stay again ”

“A very clean and comfortable place. The rooms were very nice and the beds quite comfortable. The bathrooms were up to date and there was plenty of hot water. The pub next door was very hand for a drink and breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff. ”

“Really enjoyed our stay. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Room very nice, bed comfy and a great shower. Enjoyed evening relaxing in the Gazebo overlooking the river passing below. Breakfast is at the Olive Tree cafe in the village and is well worth the walk. The satnav takes you to the center of the village but the lodge is actually on the very edge of the village. Plenty of space to park the car. Thoroughly recommend.”
