“This felt like dropping in to grandma‘s house. This property has been in the owner‘s family for 100 years, and it feels very well lived-in. This is definitely not a sterile hotel room… there’s history here. Everything you could possibly need is provided and there is plenty of outdoor space to enjoy with family and friends. The main building has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and another with a twin trundle, with a full bath between them. There’s a large eight seat dining table, and a comfy……

“Had a great stay at The River House. The home was very clean, well-furnished, and easy to get to. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to be able to sit out on the porch in the evenings. We didn't really try the path down to the river trail as it looked a little precarious, but still doable if able bodied. Overall, very nice stay!”

“It would be perfect for someone trying to escape the business of city life or someone who needs total peace and quiet! The room and home are old but nicely decorated the grounds are beautiful and the people are friendly. I didn’t realize just how remote it was until I arrived and that made me feel somewhat uneasy the girls also were bored but if I needed some time to myself and rest it was perfect!”
