"It is a historic place. Everyone in Syracusa knows this hotel. There is wonderful breakfast. Rooms are unique and beautiful. We had two rooms that connected with a hallway. Loved the grand staircase. Easy to walk everywhere in Ortigia. "

"Really charming, old property, tastefully furnished, lovely, polite and helpful staff. Very good breakfast and good and reliable ideas for eating out. The only negative was the very expensive valet car parking at €30 per night."

"Absolutely central position behind the cathedral. Very smart and well looked after property with some lovely staff. Always smelt amazing and was cool, which is important in the heat of Sicily. Attached restaurant was lovely. Our only criticisms are: cost of drinks in the hotel and the selection at breakfast was limited and not always replenished quickly enough. Would stay again."
