Ok so when we arrived the smell at the reception desk was not nice. I was surprised at the beat up old desk when we got our keys from. The room was clean and comfortable but extremely dated and definately not worth the £130
Room rate bed only we paid. Overall quite disappointing and I would not book the stay again. However the lady who signed us in was pleasant. There were no facilities other than a room. Had this room been approx £50 then I would have thought ok reasonable but paying that amount of money I unfortunately expected more and my daughter was also a bit scared from a safety perspective.

Bathroom was really dirty, hair in the shower, mould on the ceiling, shower wasn't fitted for the wall properly.
No curtains in the room and inadequate slatted window covers so it was light all the time.
View out the window was onto piles of rubbish in the car park.
Loads of street noise at night, music, people talking, the train.
Two of us checked in but only one towel in the bathroom.
Terrible night sleep all in all, left as soon as possible.

Breakfast offerings were not very good. Beans, toast and some fruit. The eggs were terrible. Lots of clutter throughout the place including giant televisions and a fridge, as well as lots of boxes and general stuff. Overall it was clean and quiet but could use some upkeep in terms of the food and also tidying up and removing clutter.

"Room was spotless as were all facilities. We made good use of swimming pool which was amazing and part of the cost of our room. So glad we booked restaurant as the meal we had was first class. All the staff were very friendly, polite and professional."

"We stayed at the Kames while exploring the area which is so beautiful. The hotel is ideally situated in an idyllic setting. The food was superb, especially the homemade steak pie! The Scottish Breakfast is the best we've tasted. Highly recommend this hotel."
