"The absolute PERFECT place to stay for your trip to Yosemite! 30 minutes from Yosemite Valley, 30 minutes from Glacier Point, and 30 minutes from Mariposa Grove; Everything you want to see without the crowds, Yosemite West is more than ideal! The cabin was wonderful! The host is so sweet too! The view is incredible from every window and the soaking tub was a life saver! We will definitely be back! "

Yosemite Trip May 2025

"The area is absolutely beautiful and the location was perfect. The house is within Yosemite park, very quiet and peaceful, and away from crowds. There were a lot of deer around the house in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen has everything needed to cook meals. All bedrooms are upstairs, however, there is a enclosed sunroom with a futon that could serve as a bedroom downstairs, as well as a large chair that also makes into a bed in the living room. We liked having a full bath downstairs, so my 81 year old mother did not have to climb any stairs. The only dislike...there are 3 bedrooms upstairs, but the only bathroom upstairs is a jack and jill located in between the master bedroom and the queen bedroom. If you sleep in the room with the twin beds (which I was) and need to potty in the middle of the night, your only options are to walk through someone else's bedroom while they are sleeping or go downstairs to use the toilet. Since we were all adults over the age of 55, I ended up going downstairs. It was a minor inconvenience. The only other issue we encountered was the batteries in the main remote control were dead, but we were able to take out from my headset to use in the remote while we were there. Overall we loved the house, had a wonderful stay, and would definitely go back again!"

A Great Place for Exploring Yosemite

"My family and I had a great stay in this wonderful lodge. The property is spacious and private, with lots of amenities (bar, pool table, hammock, washer/dryer). The place is fun and inviting.The location inside Yosemite National Park is wonderful. Glacier Point Road is just 3 miles away: Glacier Point is a must see -- such a fantastic view of the entire Yosemite Valley, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, Mirror Lake, El Capitán, and all the other great spots in Yosemite.Just 9 miles from the house and you get your first of many great views of Half Dome as you enter Yosemite Valley. From there the drive is nothing but great sights to behold around every turn.And Michelle is an amazing host -- she graciously accommodated our special check-in request, and provided lots of helpful information and tips about places and things to do.We had a great stay at Yosemite Mountain Lodge, and would be delighted to stay here again.Jim W."
