The Austria Haus hotel offers the luxury of a quiet retreat right in Vail Village. After we pulled our car in front of the hotel, we enjoyed a stress-free stay. Valet parking was very convenient, and both check in and check out were fast and efficient. The staff in the hotel was extremely helpful, professional and friendly. Both the room and the bathroom were very spacious, clean and comfortable. There was a shower as well as a very nice bathtub and we appreciated the quality of the shampoo,...

Pros: Across the street from Golden Peak lift. Short walk into Vail Village. Great breakfast!!!! I enjoyed the fireplace inside the room.
Cons: Parking. The underground parking spaces are limited for $40/day, and I had to circle around 3 times. Then I waited 45 minutes to see if anyone would leave to find a spot.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay to celebrate our anniversary. The room was large, clean, and well decorated. The lodge itself was all of the above. The pool was surprisingly warm and enjoyable on a 70 degree day. We liked the quaint neighborhood that was only a 5 minute walk to the village. We would definitely stay here again! The manager on duty Brian was very friendly and helpful.

The town of Red Cliff is a former mining town tucked in a deep chasm with great architecture and bridges. The Green Bridge Inn fits nicely with it's 3-story building wrapped with a covered porch on all levels.
The entire building is renovated in every way. Bathrooms have new tile, mattresses are new and super comfy, everything about this place is just as it should be.
Across the street, you can walk into Mangoes bar and get food or drink.

Our family of 5 stayed in a two bedroom suite. It was amazing! Two fireplaces, two full bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, and separate reading area. It was very well decorated and had all the things you could need. It also included parking in a garage and access to some of the activities offered by the Sheraton Hotel it is associated with. The property is within easy walking distance of the river, which is beautiful, and has a lake on it. We also walked to shopping and...

My wife and I went to Vail (from the Denver area) for a little get-a-way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. I booked the Arrabelle based on it's reviews, and we were not disappointed -- 1st class across the board. Everything was wonderful -- the room (with a fireplace), the staff (from the front desk to the concierge to the shuttle driver), and the food, although we just had the included breakfast buffet, which was really special -- be sure to get a made-to order-omelet, but be careful...

Very nice staff down to the housekeepers. The hotel will be undergoing a renovation can’t wait to come back and see the improvements. The rooms are very spacious and I love how they have places to put away luggage considering how much we bring when coming for skiing

Don't let the 3 stars fool you. The rooms are clean, and the property is quiet for a good night's sleep. The only reason this hotel isn't a 4 star is because of the outdated tile in the kitchens and bathrooms. Everything else is up to date and very, very nice. By the way, the tile referenced is just outdated in color, not cleanliness. Bathrooms and kitchen are very clean.
The staff is courteous and helpful and kind--great service!

The facilities are all top notch but what really made the stay great is the staff. They were always very helpful above and beyond what was required. The best area to stay in Vail is Vail Village, particularly for those seeking quick access to the slopes and a wide array of amenities.
Vail Village is the heart of Vail, characterized by its pedestrian-friendly cobblestone streets, Bavarian-inspired architecture, and direct access to Gondola One. It's a compact area offering a high concentration of upscale shops, gourmet restaurants, and entertainment options. The Gore Creek flows through the village, adding to its mountain setting.
Couples will find Vail Village especially appealing due to its romantic ambiance and convenient access to activities. You can easily walk to fine dining establishments for a special evening out, or enjoy a stroll along the heated pathways after a day of skiing. The close proximity to the gondola means more time on the mountain and less time commuting.
Families also benefit greatly from staying in Vail Village. Many accommodations offer ski-in/ski-out access or are just a short walk to the lifts, simplifying the logistics of getting children to ski school or the slopes.

When is the best time to go to Vail?
The best time to visit Vail depends entirely on your preferred activities, with distinct advantages for both the winter ski season and the summer months.
For prime skiing and snowboarding, the period from mid-December to March offers the best conditions. During this time, the mountain typically has excellent snow cover, and all lifts and terrain parks are usually open. This is ideal for serious skiers and snowboarders looking to maximize their time on the slopes.
If you're interested in hiking, mountain biking, or enjoying the alpine scenery without snow, the summer months, particularly July and August, are perfect. The weather is generally warm and sunny, wildflowers are in bloom, and the gondolas operate for scenic rides and access to high-altitude trails.
Where can I find the best nightlife in Vail?
Vail's nightlife centers primarily around two distinct villages, each offering different experiences after the slopes close.
Vail Village is the heart of Vail's evening activities. Here, you'll find a concentration of upscale restaurants that transform into lively bars, offering craft cocktails and a sophisticated atmosphere. There are also several establishments with live music, ranging from piano bars to venues featuring local bands. Many of these spots are located along Bridge Street and the surrounding pedestrian areas, making it easy to walk between them.
Lionshead Village, while a bit quieter than Vail Village, still offers a selection of quality options. You'll find several relaxed bars and pubs, often with a more casual, apres-ski feel. These spots are good for enjoying a drink and conversation, and some also feature live entertainment.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
You can cancel your hotel reservation on Expedia, though it depends on the cancellation policy of your booking. Most bookings are refundable if canceled within 24-48 hours of the scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. If free cancellation is available, you can cancel directly through your Expedia account by logging in, going to "My Trips", and selecting your reservation. To find flexible deals, filter your search by "Fully refundable property" for hotels in Vail.
How much is the nightly rate at a Vail hotel?
Prices for hotels in Vail often vary, but you can find a great deal from $95 on Expedia. All sorts of factors affect price, such as the time of year or the days of the week you choose for your stay. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for the cheapest rate.
