8.2/10 Very Good! (1,519 reviews)
As of March 2026, this hotel is undergoing renovations. I'm sure it will be stunning when complete, but for now you'll want to set your expectations a bit lower than normal. There is no formal lobby to enter, rather it is a makeshift area and public bathrooms are portable outdoor restrooms. Navigating to and from rooms is a bit of an obstacle due to areas being totally closed off temporarily. The staff was courteous and helpful. The on-site dining has a lot to be desired, but provides a viable meal at an inflated price, when necessary. Note: this hotel is NOT within walking distance of any shops or restaurants so keep that in mind if you indulge in drinks and then get hungry. There is a community microwave on each floor and mini fridges in the rooms so that's handy. The trade-off is a feeling of solidarity, with a beautiful driveway lined with trees, horses and cattle and a lot of beach to walk in both directions. Pools were clean and enjoyable, hot tub was brutally hot so most patrons just sat on the edge nightly as it was too hot to fully submerge. One hot tub was out of service. No major complaints here. I'm sure once the remodel is complete this will be a top notch resort as long as you don't mind driving to get to shops.
