Very comfortable!

Posted Aug 18, 2017
Seemed a bit pricey but typical for the location. Cabins were cute and well planned and situated. They had everything we needed including heat and air. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The dinner smells were heavenly but sadly we had already made plans to visit friends in Cody.

OK

Posted Aug 13, 2017
Pros: The cabin was quiet
Cons: Attitude
Location: Yellowstone and Cody WY
The room was clean and bed comfortable but the internet barely worked and the shower was tiny. They had so many rules you were afraid you'd break one by even being in the room. The staff was warm friendly at best. The breakfast was so so. You serve yourself and clean up yourself and they have a note on the table to leave a tip. Not leaving tip for owner. The food in the restaurant was average at best. Being in the area it is in I expected as much.

Beautiful view and friendly staff

Posted Aug 2, 2017
Pros: the friendly staff and view
Cons: no bedbugs
Location: Yellowstone National Park
The hotel had a great view - that's why I chose it. I knew the rooms would be small, but that was ok. Unfortunately, we got bed bugs there - my worse nightmare. We didn't realize it until we were leaving the 2nd morning. The staff was so friendly and the breakfast was great.

Excellent choice outside the park

Posted Jul 4, 2017
Pros: Pretty much everything except the distance to parts of Yellowstone park
Cons: Body wash in the shower. Larger bars of soap at the sink.
Location: Excellent location relative to the park in terms of the landscape, the wildlife, and how close it is to Cody.
My 24 year old son and I stayed here for a week in June 2017 and were very happy with our choice. The only thing we would do different next time is lodge half the time inside the park closer to Lamar Valley as the drive there each morning and evening wears on you after 10 to 12 hours in the park. We stayed in room 2 and it was just right. Quiet, comfortable beds, enough space, decent water pressure in the shower, a window looking out over the rushing river and the animals drinking from it, a room fridge/microwave oven/coffee maker, and DirecTV. This is minor as we brought our own but body wash would be much nicer than the tiny bars of soap but it may have been available at the desk had we asked. Oh, great cross breeze when you open the front and back windows. We would have left both open all night but the back one did not have a screen. I stayed in many dozens of hotels over the years, from 3 stars to 5 star resorts and can say YVI's hot breakfast was just right. Very impressive with scrambled eggs, pancakes, great bacon & sausage, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereals, breads, juices, coffee... So many places these days say "hot breakfast" but it's too often a disappointment. And we very much enjoyed a couple dinners there. Not a large menu but the quality was excellent and the service warm and friendly - not just in the restaurant but at the reception desk as well. We never made time for the bar but enjoyed some nice beers during dinner. Driving up each night you might

Rustic and 45 minutes from East Yellowstone

Posted Jun 9, 2017
Pros: Quiet, Clean, Friendly staff, close to Yellowstone
Location: Yellowstone and Cody Rodeo
We arrived late, but that was no problem. The cabin was quaint and clean. Very quiet campground / RV area behind the cabins. All staff members we spoke with were pleasant and informative. Rooms were maintained every day.

Nice people

Posted Jun 4, 2017
Pros: The staff is very friendly and helpful. They gave us great advice about our visit to Yellowstone. There is a saloon and restaurant.
We stayed at the motel part of this complex the day before we went into Yellowstone. They also have small cabins and RV sights. The setting is beautiful except that it is along a busy road.

There is only a small wall heater to keep room temperature. So all of us feel too cool to sleep. Cafe maker looks never be clean up. Honestly everything in the room looks not be clear enough. The breakfast and the hotel staffs is good. But the condition is poor.

All of our rooms have recently been remodeled. The rooms are checked twice for cleanliness each day. The wall heaters are new and working properly. We are sorry you were unhappy. Thank you for your input. YELLOWSTONE VALLEY INN

Would stay again

Posted Nov 3, 2016
We stayed 3 days in the cabins, that had a nice rustic feel that went well with the Yellowstone experience. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast and dinner all 3 days we stayed and it was very good, and we saved time by not having to drive else where to eat
