“I had a great stay at Zamalek House Hotel. The location is one of the best thing, right in Zamalek and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. I enjoyed being able to walk around the neighborhood. It’s pretty safe. The room was clean, simple, comfortable, and the hotel was a great base for exploring Cairo. The staff were friendly and helpful. I got a red eye flight, arrived early for the check in, and they helped me to get a room. Overall, Zamalek House……

“The Longchamps is a comfortable, relatively small, European-style hotel in Zamalek, a lovely part of Cairo. It has charming common spaces including a few terraces where you can relax between activities or eat breakfast. The breakfast buffet offerings were ok and included hard-boiled eggs, fool beans, cooked vegetables, and an assortment of bakes goods as well as cheeses and fresh veggies and fruit. ”

“We booked a 2 bedroom unit. First we went to the hotel with our reservation and they told us to go to the next building because it was a Brassbell Zamalek booking. We went to the next building and there was a problem which they resolved by sending us back to the hotel who gave us a 2 bedroom suite that was not renovated with a very old and dirty carpet and a very high bathtub. We requested to be moved, but all they could offer was a one bedroom. We still did not get an explanation as to why our……

“The apartments are bit old and they need major renovation and furniture need to be replaced with something clean and good, sheets, pillows, towels, curtains. … all old and look dirty you ask yourself if it’s safe to use them!!! Stated the bad and now the goods! Good size, Helpful staff, reasonable price, great location, loved the neighbourhood, great cafes and restaurants around, short walk to the Nile and main active area.”

“There’s is no communication with the reception , the apartment is in a different building then the reception. I was lost it took me 1 hour to find the place and contact someone and then I got stuck in the elevator and had to scream for help . There is no where on the reservation where it stats the office is at a diff place , no place to contact anyone not even on Expedia”

“Well... I booked for a room on the pool side - more expensive but useful in Cairo if you don't fancy the noise of horns and cars at 3 am... But when I arrived I was in a room on the street side. Discussing with staff was... complicated and I got the room I paid for only the second night. Service is somewhat random. Sometimes very helpful, and trying their best. But then you find that there is no towel in the room. Or that no water was provided on one day... Cannot really blame the staff - it's……
