Really cool conversion of the first city hall of Duluth into a boutique hotel. Our room was on the "first" floor (really the basement) without any windows, which was a little freaky at first. It was so quiet, we felt we were the only people in the building, even though there were several lounges/bars. We parked in the secure parking ramp across the street, which meant we were walking by a number of unhoused people with all of our luggage. There are NO actual staff on the premises, but the many texts that we received were sufficient in terms of checking in/out, and gaining access to the building and our rooms.

There was a pervasive smell of marijuana in the 11th floor hallway and in one of the two elevators. We went to the top floor restaurant for breakfast and turned around and walked out after observing the numerous un-bused tables and overhearing a waitress apologizing to diners about the long waits for food. She said the kitchen was behind due to understaffing. The whirlpool was out of service. We won't be back.

Garage situation could have been better
