“We expected a small room, but it really left a lot to be desired considering it was “recently renovated”. It had a nice paint scheme on the walls, a nice shower head and very warm water. Unfortunately there was a very strong cleaning product smell which lingered for hours, even with the window open. There was no lock on the common entrance door - anyone could come in and ‘wander’ the house. Two of the GFCI outlets didn’t function so there were almost no outlets to use. The TV, microwave, and……

“My first visit to Silverton and I'm so glad I chose to stay at The Avon! Loved the charm of this place, very fitting to the full experience of a mountain town at high elevation. The whole establishment was kept very clean, bathrooms are clean and stuffed with clean towels and toiletries, the kitchen/bar/living room area is very roomy. I stayed at one of the bunk rooms and I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable the bed was, with clean and soft bedding. Great job to Daniel, who runs this……
