“Via Roma on Ischia begins in the port. Hotel Conte is at the start and continues close to shore bringing you to the point. It has so many places to eat and shop that you don't need a car unless you want to explore other parts of island. “I think the discrepancy in ratings comes from single rooms vs double rooms. I was in the single room for 3 days and it smelled of old dust, with the bed being a box of springs basically.
