One of the attractions on Big Pine Key is seeing Key deer, which astonishingly wandered around the resort property several times a day. It just looked like the construction crew left and no one did detail cleaning Our room was on the upper level. It was called the Star room. Apparently there was a methane gas leak somewhere, as our room, the entire stay smelled like an unflushed toilet. It was a lingering odor. We had fans in the room, which helped. “The place was clean and just as described. We started every day at the beach and ended at the pool/bar, which was right across the drive. Bag chairs, beach umbrella, pool/beach towels were also provided—which was a HUGE plus! We were also on a canal (saw a shark) which was peaceful. I felt like we were centrally located, close to a grocery store, restaraunts and the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back!”
