Apartments in Big Pine Key for Rent

"The Kingsail Resort is in a convenient location. Most places were within 2 miles. I got to resort early and my room wasn’t ready yet, so I hung out by the pool which was very nice & clean. The staff were very nice. I liked that every room came with a designated parking spot. My room was ok. The AC was loud - good thing I don’t need AC so I turned it off. There is no ledge separating the shower & rest of bathroom so when I showered the water pooled all the way out across the length of the bathroom. I had to use 3 towels to mop up the floor. The good thing is the staff picked up the towel the next day & replaced with new. My room faced Overseas hwy & I was surprised how well insulated the windows & glass entry door were. I didn’t hear a thing overnight…but I did hear the resident rooster in the morning! Overall the room was ok. It offered the bare essentials & comfy bed. I only stayed 2 nights so it served its purpose."

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Fairfield this week. The staff were wonderful, the poolside was relaxing & facilities were great. The air con was quite noisy, but everything else with room just lovely. Nice large comfy beds, walk in shower, plenty of space to relax. Great location, would be happy to return. "

"Breakfast was lacking significantly. Not a lot of choices and very mediocre. Was told no daily service but housekeepers entered our room daily (unexpected and not welcome). They say they have a reuse towel program but replaced all of our towels daily. (Annoying, why bother saying you care to conserve water if your actions don't back it up?). They have a beach chair loaner program..but only 8 chairs available for the entire resort."

"Stayed in one of the apartments. Good location if key west accommodation is too pricy or unavailable - approx 25min drive. Nice pool, jacuzzi and bar set-up. Only negative was very uncomfortable mattress on sofa bed. "

"Poolside was nice and you can get food there. There are 2 pools. There is no beach. Many of the staff are foreign born but their English is good enough that they are able to assist you."
