“Everything was perfect. We loved being right on the ski slope. The house was clean and had everything we needed.”

The kitchen was well stocked, the bathrooms had plenty of towels and toiletries, the beds were super comfy, the game room was a HUGE hit for both kids and grownups, and the pool was right across the street. The owner even provided extra towels for the pool and hot tubs. We had a great time using the fire pit too. Altho some of the Adirondack chairs around the pit were not fully assembled, we really didn't need them since there was ample built-in seating.……

“We took a quick trip for less than 48 hours to Grandfather mountain for a parent weekend getaway. Tranquility was the perfect home away from home. It was very clean, photos were accurate of the property. We enjoyed the hot tub and seeing different wildlife right in the backyard. Would recommend. ”

“Our stay at the Great Escape Lodge was fantastic! The house is a magnificent historical structure. All rooms were ready and perfect for our arrival (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc...all perfect). We grilled and shared stories and good laughs on the back deck. The living room was perfect for all of us to catch up after a day of activities and share our adventures. Key for us was how easy the owners made everything for our stay. They even went the extra mile to be sure we had directions to……

“Darren’s Place was perfect for our family weekend getaway. Tucked away, but still close to everything. The house was clean and had all we needed. Check in and check out was simple. Communication was fantastic. The porch (and the kitchen sink!) was the perfect place to enjoy the beautiful view of Grandfather. We are definitely coming back to Darren’s place. “Place had a beautiful view and accommodations. Window was out in one of the bedrooms with plexiglass taped in, which made room cold, but I am sure they have fixed now. Overall loved our stay. ”

“This was the perfect spot for our two familes - our kids are ages 8-12 and the downstairs area provided hours or entertainment while the adults were able to talk and hang out upstairs. The covered porch was a favorite of everyone. We hope to return in the future! ”
