“When I called re a florist in the area for fresh bouquet, the manager said he'd be happy to get their Gardener to cut flowers and make a bouquet for me. Wow, that was so nice! When it was brought to our room the girl would not take any payment. The flowers were lovely and went on my mother's grave. I really appreciate how they went out of their way for me. The room was spotless and the a/c worked very well. Plus we enjoyed having a living area and kitchen. We were within walking distance……

“The only reason this property is not getting 5 stars from me is because the restaurant/bar was closed during the entirety of my trip. I was looking forward to dining there and enjoying a drink or two. The room was super comfortable and well appointed. I was very happy with all the staff I interacted with.”

“The place was very clean with a full kitchen, comfortable bed, access to a large number of tv channels, and a nice living area. Not being particularly technologically savvy, it took some time to figure out the check in, especially since there is no check in staff. The tub sides were quite high and the shower lacked stabilizer bars, which made older folks like myself feel a bit unstable. The shower floor could get slick and result in a fall if not careful. Going up and down stairs was not bad;……

“What an absolutely amazing stay! We had booked with another property for a 4 day vacation, but only stayed one night due to a terrible experience. I looked for a hotel that first day, and was pleasantly surprised to find this jewel. My family and I were treated phenomenally well by a stellar staff. “We stayed in the Loom House, not until we arrived did we know we were to occupy the oldest habitable log home in NC. While the bed was comfortable, the small fridge was iced up and smelled of old food. There was no TV. There were nail heads sticking up out of the floor upstairs and the floor creaked loudly every time we got out of bed to walk to the bathroom. “This was a very clean room in a great location- walkable to everything in town. We enjoyed the firepit! My only complaint was the loud AC unit in the room. Other than that, a very nice place for the money!”

“Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain.”

“This is a clean and slightly older property that is only two blocks from the center of town where all the great shops are. The staff are very courteous and helpful. We had the room that had its own private pool downstairs from the bedroom suite. There is a pump room associated with the pool and it was so loud it made falling asleep difficult. We asked if it could be turned off and that wasn’t possible, but the staff did offer us some earplugs. That they even had earplugs on hand tells you……
