Barefoot Resort - Norman Golf Course Tours

We stayed here with a group of 7 people with 2 rooms and we had a really experience. The hotel itself does have some wear and tear and could use some upgrades and better maintenance (I would rate it a 3 out of 5) but everything else gets top marks (5 out of 5). What we liked - Staff were all friendly and helpful. - Location: The hotel is on the sand literally - any closer and the waves would be in the lobby - it was perfect for us with small kids. - On site market and restaurants and close to stores and other attractions. - The beach is lit at night - we were on the beach at 11pm and it was great. - Indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor one was our favorite- open till 11pm, completely enclosed, has seating and 2 hot tubs so parents can watch the kids from any point in the space. Outdoor pool decks overlook the beach. Things to know before you stay - Pack suitcases or bring a wagon to get your stuff from the parking deck to your room or be prepared to hire valet service if you don't want to make a lot of trips. - Bring your own beach and pool towels - none provided - Housekeeping is towel exchange and trash take out only - Guests not allowed to hang towels from balcony but only 1 towel hook in the room so bring coins for the dryer.

I liked how they text you updates about the events going on in the hotel and you can text them if you need extra towels/shampoo/soap/etc. That was very convenient for us. Friendly staff and clean lobby/room.

Our room was decent - looks like it was newly remodeled to appear better. Other rooms were not as clean. Area around the room could have been better taken care of. Elevator area was dirty. Pool area and beach area were nice, clean, and it’s in a very convenient location near shops and boardwalks!
