“clean nice for the family spend a night on the road trip !”

“Ironclad was a wonderful place right in Fredericksburg, close to the town and restaurants. Our room was on the 2nd floor, no elevators, but it was okay. Sadly, the Bourbon room was closed, but the staff was ice enough to let us go down and look at the room. Very cool, would stay again!”

“This property is conveniently located, always clean and friendly staff. I stay at this hotel every time I am traveling to the area.”

“Room number 12 smells bad from cigarette smoke. There was no soap in the room. The walls were paper thin. Other than that it was a cheap motel that was okay to get enough sleep to keep driving again. No better than a 5/10 idk what these other reviews are talking about.”

“Room was fine for a one night stop. There is carpeting which seems old but overall the room was clean. We were traveling with two dogs so the low $15 fee was appreciated with no weight limit. Very close to restaurants and gas stations so perfect for some rest and a meal. Front desk attendant who checked me in was kind and quick. Breakfast was minimal but fine for a drink and a quick bite before getting on the road.”

“The hotel is centrally located to restaurants. It was very clean. It took me a bit to fall asleep because of a barking dog but other than that it was great.”

“Renovated rooms and good breakfast! Wished they had an outside pool --- other than that it was a good stay!”

“I liked location, was in fredericksburg wedding dress shopping with my daughter. I mainly chose this hotel because it said breakfast buffet and showed a picture of BACON in the photo, it was no bacon very disappointed. Eggs, potatoes, sausage links, bagels, hard boiled eggs. FYI. Clean, helpful staff, location was nice.”

“The room had a sofa and desk seating area when you walked in the room. The bathroom was next and then the bedroom. The bedroom had the a/c unit. In order to cool off the sofa area the a/c had to be set below 70. Then you got a freezing bedroom and a much warmer sofa area. The sofa was very hard. We looked at the pullout mattress, but it was lumpy and you could feel the springs. The actual bed was fine and the walk-in shower was great.”
