“We stayed here while in town for a wedding in Litchfield and couldn’t have picked a better spot. The beds were super comfy, and all the cozy touches—soft blankets, good coffee, and a comfy couch with plenty of lap blankets—made it feel like home. The place was really clean and airy but still felt tucked away in a peaceful, woodsy area.We also loved all the thoughtful details, like extra travel toothbrushes, loofahs, and really nice shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom. “Although our stay was cut short due to a snowstorm, the accommodations with Charles were great. We usually take a hotel room when down in Southbury visiting family. From here on we will certainly be staying with Charles. The accommodations were clean and comfortable and communication was good.

“The host is very attentive and check in was very easy. The issue we have with this property is the location which is not in the control of the host. The property was basic and clean. As another review states, if you know the neighborhood then you know what to expect. So, if someone does not know the neighborhood, check Google Earth to see more of the surrounding streets and buildings. In addition, the listing says "Parking on site" but the only parking was the street. We did not stay and found……

“I had a wonderful experience overall at my stay in the Modern Studio, in Kent. Deborah was thorough in communication and welcoming upon my arrival. Their guidebook is full of helpful information about local fare, points of interest and history about the farm and surrounding area. Also, I appreciate the treats and Nespresso. I’d definitely recommend staying for these points and for central location which lends to the ease of walking into town from the studio.”
