Come enjoy a great gateway. Home on the lake! This house (Hardwood Floors throughout) is located on Lake Huron, very clean 3 bedroom house 1,500sf. Only 1.5 hrs driving from Metro Detroit. we have over 100 feet of private sandy beach on Lake Huron. Weekly, bi-weekly and monthly rental available. Weekly rental include the use of our 3 Bedroom house. The house is furnished with log beds and new mattresses. It accommodates up to 10 people. Please call for availability. The house is located 16 miles north of Lexington, Michigan on Lake Huron that offers views of the sunrise. The shallow water is crystal clear and offers the best fishing experience. The private beach to enjoy is right out your front door with 2 decks - Grill - Sandy Beach -Fire pit on beach-- Great Fishing. Enjoy all the comforts of a home for your next vacation without the high cost. over 100 feet of private beach Not 50 feet like the others so you dont have be close with any neighbors.

Peaceful stay on Lake Huron

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home slept our group with plenty of room and we loved the privacy on the beach as there are no homes for several lots south of the property.The house was very clean and the communication was top notch with George which we really appreciated!As others have mentioned, the deck steps and deck do need attention as some areas are deteriorating. Other than that, the stay was very exceptional. We will be back in the future!

Excellent! The view was amazing!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The view is spectacular and it was very easy to get to the beach even my 79 year old dad could do it. Great host and great place to stay! I highly recommend!

Perfect for complete relaxation

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this property. We love it! It is the perfect place to truly unwind from a busy life. The beach is lovely, and the water is warm in July. We absolutely love looking at all the Petoskey and Charlevoix stones. I would recommend water shoes, if you are going on long walks or in the water to swim due to the stones that wash in at the shoreline. The neighbors are quietly friendly and George is a wonderful host. Nearby Lexington and Port Sanilac have cute restaurants, shops, and Farmer's Markets. The last two times we have stayed there, we had a double rainbow that started straight out from the house and ended at the southern point. Pretty amazing site!

Birthday/ Vacation getaway

Little getaway for my boyfriend birthday and my vacation. The house was nice and clean. Neighbor only on one side so lots of privacy and quite. The view from watching the sun rise to sunset and moon coming out was the absolute BEST!. Can't wait to come back.

The view is spectacular! Kitchen and appliances all new and very nice. George is very gracious and accommodating. The only complaint was the weather did not cooperate so we weren’t able to enjoy the outside as much as we would have liked to.

Lake Huron Getaway

What a wonderful week we had staying at this property - right on Lake Huron! The beach was endless, clean, and heaven for rock collectors! We appreciated having lounge chairs on the beach ready to use. Other than a few minor discrepancies, the property was as described. (The hairdryer was missing and the AC downstairs was not installed in the window - but in fairness to the owner - it has been a chilly spring and early summer) For older guests (as we were), it was somewhat risky on the lower level of steps of the deck as there was no railing to hold onto. I am confident the owner will address this issue. The owner (George) was great to work with. He was always prompt in replying for any and all inquiries. I also enjoyed being able to bring my dog - she enjoyed the vacation as much as we did. I would stay here again.

Nice Place

Very nice summer cottage on the Lake. It was what we expected. We liked the new, updated kitchen. (Stove, fridge, sink, counters) Plenty of pots and pans and dishes so we could cook and eat at the house. We appreciated that. The outside deck and stairs seemed a little run down. They could use a little up-keep. Redo the stairs down to the beach, or shur them up a little more. Give everything a coat of paint. Next time we will come later in the season, perhaps, June or July, when it is warmer. Most of our stay, (May 19-22) it was cold, overcast, and rainy. Over all, we still had a nice visit. Thank you!

Great Beachfront Location

I ended up staying at this property by myself and had a wonderful short getaway. The beach area is huge with both sandy and rocky areas and is great for looking at all the different beautiful Lake Huron rocks - especially petoskey stones! The house was clean and I had everything I needed to be comfortable. George is a great host - he sent timely messages with all the important rental info and responds right away. I was really in need of some time to decompress after some stress and this place did the trick, thank you!

Perfect getaway for our entire family.

Sunrises we’re breathtaking right on Lake Huron. 3 of the days we were there we felt like we were at the ocean. Big waves and a warm breeze. Campfires at night were wonderful on the beach. We brought our dogs and they had a blast playing in the water. 3rd bedroom didn’t have a window AC unit so we slept with the door open in the other upstairs bedroom. My husband can’t wait to go back. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals.

Loving Lake Huron!

We had a great week with family and friends enjoying the amazing, relaxing views this home offers. Lots of space to accommodate sleeping. We spent most of our time on the beach, exploring the shoreline, cooking meals over the campfire, and star gazing, we loved it! The beach is rocky as it changes with the waves, water-shoes are perfect and highly recommended. There is firewood for sale less than 2 minutes south of the house - which was awesome (as of today $3 a bundle). The cottage provides a wheel barrel too, and is much appreciated!

Stunning views of Lake Huron!

First of all George is fantastic! Thank you for the early check-in which was a bonus. This house was SPOTLESS, we have rented several other houses in the past and this one was the cleanest ever!! We spent 4 perfect days relaxing and enjoying the beach. Beds were very comfortable. We also got to enjoy using the fire pit on the beach at night. The kitchen had just about everything, except you only had 2 coffee cups a little hard with 4 adults but we made do. Thanks again George we can't wait to come and stay again you are the perfect host!!!

House could use some love

Location is wonderful and the beach is very nice! However, house could use some serious love. The paint is peeling off the deck, one of the gates on the deck broke when we barely touched it, the steps are super sketchy… There’s some places in the home that feel like they were half-flipped and then forgotten about. Also you get blinded by headlights when on the deck at night.

Overall Great Experience

The overall experience was great. The views are breathtaking and the Fall colors really made the scenery special. The private beach w/ fire pit was fantastic. Being Pet friendly was perfect. There were a few minor details that were specific to us but to others probably isn’t an issue. The main bedroom being upstairs with no bathroom was an issue for my 8 month pregnant wife. The WiFi was shotty at best and made working remote a little frustrating. I would highly recommend overall though.

My family and I rented this home for 3 nights last week. Upon arrival the view from the home of lake huron was amazing. The home definitely has a more rustic decor and aestetic, which i have no complaints with. There were a couple things that i didnt enjoy. The shower light was broken, the ice maker didnt really work, and the stair to the beach are very awkward, especially for my 74 year old mother. I was told there was a ramp, but the grassy hill isnt really a ramp to me. We did find some sand in the beds which is off putting, but also a beach house is going to have sand. Im not sure if its added in the listing but water shoes are a must. We had to go get water shoes for my nieces . The shoreline is completely rocky and i struggled to walk even with the water shoes. Unfortunately the first day was the only day that was really hot, but thats weather in Michigan. We really enjoyed the water that day. I will say after the sun went down it was spiders gallore on the deck, so the next day we went and cleaned and sprayed the deck with bug killer. All in all my family had a great time. We made memories that we will never forget. We had a campfire and smores on the beach. We shopped in lexington. This homes location is A1. It was a little pricey in my opinion but im glad we went and would definitely use vrbo again.

Peaceful and Tranquil

This cottage was a lovely stay for us. The owner was receptive and answered all my questions quickly. Since it was before peak season we had the beach all to ourselves and didn't see a lot of people the whole week. We took many walks down the beach for treasures. I would advise bringing water shoes because you cannot escape the rocks. All in all ten out of ten.

The view and beach were awesome! It was so nice to relax and hear the waves crashing. The property was clean and comfortable. Only suggestion is maybe a shelf or something for storage in the bathroom/shower. Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful Lake Huron!

We wanted a place on the lake and this was the place. The beach was great for us and our pup. Found a great local bar & grill and had a wonderful dinner. Thanks a bunch George!
