"Right on the beach - nothing beats that. Catch the sunrise on the beach before the tourists visiting the national park enters, and stay after sunset...For the price, the room was clean and spacious and the staff friendly and helpful. The shared bathrooms and showers are kept quite clean.
Issues: wifi did not reach my room at all (but I can go by the restaurant for wifi or on the beach for 4G signal); the A/C did not work well, which was fine at night for my season (november), but don't plan on...

"Beautiful rooms, beautiful property with kind staff, especially Dennis. Gorgeous, but the hotel’s amenities i found were significantly pricier than surrounding hotels, for example a bike rentak here would by $850 mxd conpared to next door where it was $350, their restaurant was gorgeous and loved the food quality, but again significantly higher prices than neighboring spots. I loved my stay here, and loved the convenience- please beware before booking there’s a $450 mxd one time fee to enter the...

"Very clean and trendy hotel with a beautiful rooftop deck and infinity pool. The staff are friendly and the location is quite walkable. The one con is that the doors don’t seem to block out the sound that well"

"What an amazing place!
A beautiful little jungle oasis!
Such amazing staff, a very convenient location just a short walk from the centre of town, opposite a supermarket and a delicious set of taco stalls. "

"Amazing stay for nature lovers! It’s absolutley beautiful here the staff and very kind and helpful! They have so many unique private accommodations that all have their own charm! They have a variety of activities for their guest such as yoga, healing ceremonies, sound bath ect… The hotel is family friendly as well. Tulum is very expensive, so be prepared to pay more for everything in général in comparaison to other places Mexico but Ikal still deserves 5 stars because the higher cost applies to all of Tulum. We had the best time and enjoyed this breathtaking hotel, we are already planning to go back!"
"An unforgettable, one-of-a-kind stay at GlampIKAL – easily one of the best travel experiences ever.
From the moment of arrival everything felt spotless and well cared for, from the tents to the common areas, which made the whole place feel both luxurious and close to nature at the same time. The staff were incredibly attentive and genuinely kind, always checking in, offering help, and making sure every little detail was taken care of without ever feeling intrusive.
Staying near the beach was a highlight: waking up to the sound of the waves, stepping out onto soft sand, and enjoying a truly beautiful, uncrowded shoreline just a few steps from the tent. The whole property has a very unique atmosphere – it feels like a small seaside community where you can disconnect, relax, and still enjoy all the comforts you need.
The food was excellent throughout the stay, with fresh, flavorful dishes that matched the quality of the setting, and the service in the restaurant was warm and efficient. Every interaction with staff reinforced how welcoming the place is; they were always helpful with requests and local tips, which made the experience even smoother.
Overall, this was a very special experience that feels different from a typical hotel stay in the best possible way. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a clean, beautiful, and unique beach escape in Tulum – would absolutely return and encourage others to try it for themselves."
"I was so happy with the room, which was large and clean, the grounds, beautifully taken care of, and people working every day on the grounds and pool, the rooftop terrace, where I witnessed several beautiful sunsets, got some sun, and took a cool dip in one of the four small pools. I sat several hours in the hammock listening to books that I downloaded. This was my second favorite place to hang out. Breakfast was always delicious and made with great care. I also had two suppers there, and they were delicious as well. The wonderful people at the front desk answered my questions patiently and correctly. I stayed here for 12 days and it started to feel like home. Everything was very well taken care of. Héctor M. was extremely helpful and so friendly. Everyone that worked the front desk, which is staffed 24 hours a day, was wonderful! I'm definitely going to stay here again!"
"Hotel is round 25 minutes of walking from ruines, even though it is a bit far from downtown Tulum, but suits our purpose well. Staff and condition of property is excellent. "
"I enjoyed my experience here! A great place for a solo traveler! Staff were friendly, kind and attentive to all my request! I genuinely felt safe here it’s quiet and peaceful. This time of year is their down season, which didn’t bother me since I was solo traveling! Food and drinks were amazing!!!"
