The staff are amazing. We didn't want for anything. When we asked for something it was immediately provided. We have stayed a quite a few luxury hotels in the US. This hotel was better than any other place we have stayed. The layout is stunning. The staff members are kind, courteous and helpful. The fact that they love what they do is evident beyond measure. From check-in to check-out, our stay was relaxing and extraordinary. They even had dog treats for our dog!!! Amazing!!! We highly recommend the Ansonborough Inn to everyone. We'll definitely be back next year. We were greeted with a warm smile by the lovely Jennifer, who immediately made us feel welcome and taken care of. Her hospitality truly set the tone for our stay. The bar was another highlight, Manny, the bartender, makes the best Espresso Martini I’ve ever had. Absolute perfection. Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully maintained. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a day out. Unfortunately this historic winter ice storm “Fern”, spanning across much of the country prevented us from enjoying the area due to the cold and wind, but the photos of the Inn were spot on. The interior of the building was amazing, our room was very spacious and gorgeous. The building’s exposed (painted) exterior brick walls and massive wood post and beam construction with era style woodwork just tells a person that this is just not another over night stay, but a relaxing welcoming. Earning complimentary drinks through our booking along with a set of complimentary drinks at check-in for my wife and I from the Inn we took advantage of the offering at the bar without hesitation. Dinning out is a moderate walk, but with the extreme weather, we choose not to venture out to far and took advantage of what “Harris Teeter” grocery store directly across the street from the inn had to offer, so we made a purchase and had a light dinner in room. The Inn provides a nice light breakfast with a welcomed 12pm checkout. Staff are pleasant and accommodating.
