Worst VRBO Rental EVER - AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I’ll hit the character limit, if there is one, before I can completely list all of the BS myself and my family have dealt with through this reservation/owner and the trip itself. - I was disappointed to see that VRBO didn’t advertise in this listing that a management company would handle the listing (Evolve). VRBO/the homeowner essentially lied in the listing by withholding that information - this was a birthday celebration reservation and VRBO, Paula, and EVOLVE effectively ruined those birthdays being celebrated along with ruining our family trip - the first night we’re there, a big storm rolls through. There are leaks throughout the house because of the amount of rain that fell, and because of the lack of upkeep on the property by the homeowner Paula. Some of our personal items got soaked from this which resulted in those family members having awful stinky clothing to wear on the remainder of the trip because….there was also no power from the storm! The power went out early Thursday morning. So now we couldn’t shower, couldn’t flush the toilet due to signs put up by the homeowner, couldn’t warm food, and couldn’t dry our wet clothes that got soaked in their suitcases from excess water pushing through the exterior walls of the home - the stairs in this home are no where near code and resulted in every family member tripping going up and down the stairs. Some of those individuals that tripped were elderly - WAY MORE OCCURRED HERE but I hit the character limit

Great family reunion
We gathered here to rally around a sick family member. We hadn’t all been together in 12 years. This home surpassed what we had hoped it would be. Large is understatement. View is awesome. Well equipped kitchen. Host was so personable. We made happy memories!

Wonderful House on the River

Gorgeous views, safe for kids, cool quirky house
When you arrive, the majestic mountain and river view fills you with peaceful vibes immediately. The house is just as shown, large and rambling, unique spaces where a family can spread out and enjoy…or gather together for meals and relaxing atmospheres. The hot tub and fire pit were enjoyable, as well as the big dining room. One thing to know is the surrounding properties as you’re driving in are…well…less than standard. But once you get to the property, it’s really great. Weird central time vs. eastern time check out, that caught me by surprise. Paula was very friendly and helpful and we did enjoy our stay very much!!

What a lovely cabin by the river. Lots of rooms and comfortable beds. Well stocked kitchen and a beautiful view of the river. Campfire by the river in the evening. We were busy with a wedding and a college graduation so we didn't get to spend a lot of time there but we would love to come back some day.

Great family vacation
Cabin and the view was beautiful. I was sitting on the porch before sunrise. All the sounds of nature in the background. Eagles would fly close to cabin and get a fish for a meal. I had a little luck fishing myself.

Enjoyable family getaway
Our large group enjoyed our stay. The location was convenient to the main sites we were interested in, the Aquarium, Ruby Falls, the Incline railroad. My husband enjoyed the river and fishing from the bank. The hardest part was trying to figure out the correct time. It seemed to depend what part of the house you were in. Thank goodness some of us “old timers” had analog watches!

Gorgeous River View
This River House provided a quiet, beautiful, spacious get away for 8 of our family members (ages 20-80) and our two small pups to celebrate a birthday and a graduation. The view is beautiful and the kitchen was VERY well-appointed. The host was very responsive, helpful and accommodating. This one is definitely on the top of the list for next time!

The property was clean and their was plenty of space. We noticed the time zone kept changing in different areas of the house which made getting too and from the airport difficult. The other rental house on the property wasn’t an issue but what seemed to be the property owner was in the other house that was directly overlooking the driveway and entry. They were very nice but it felt a little intrusive. We also noticed that the only camera on property, while it was pointed at a rear screen door, was looking directly at the jacuzzi. That also seemed a little concerning. The outside area was beautiful and peaceful. We had a good time there and I would recommend it but be careful of your time if you have anywhere to be, and be mindful of what you wear in the jacuzzi.

Elopement on the River
My husband and I were planning on eloping at Snoopers Rock, but due to some emergency medical issues my mother wasn’t able to hike anymore. Paulie was so amazing and let us elope on the property. It was absolutely beautiful! There was one hiccup during the stay but it did not ruin our trip by any means! The notes above the toilets for plumbing issues are not to be taken lightly people! Paulie must be a superhero by day, host by night. There was a plumbing issue, but she came to the rescue. I practically lived in the hottub or watching movies in the living room. It was so cozy at the property. I would recommend it to anyone!

The cabin was beautiful. The hosts were extraordinarily helpful and hospitable. The cabin is large yet incredibly cozy and decorated in a cabin theme without being tacky. We’re already hoping to plan our next visit. I definitely recommend!
