Top Colle Calzolaro Hotel Reviews

Hotel Sant'Ercolano

Hotel Sant'Ercolano

10/10 Excellent
"Very nice staff at this convenient and basic hotel. Very clean and comfortable. It's about 3 minutes walk from the minimetro stop very near the main piazzas. The staff were very welcoming, allowed us to drop off luggage early and gave us caffé on arrival, then we returned later to check in. We opted to have the breakfast at the hotel, which was fine and convenient since we needed to check out early and catch a train. For the price and the staff and an authentic experience in beautiful Perugia, it's a top choice. If you want luxury, it's maybe not the place for you. We'll return when we next stay in Perugia!"

These properties provide a peaceful base for exploring the region's culinary delights and picturesque towns like Montefalco and Assisi, which are a short drive away.

Families will also appreciate staying in the villas or agriturismos (farm stays) located just outside the village. These properties often come with ample space, kitchens for self-catering, and outdoor areas for children to play.

This period also avoids the peak summer crowds and higher prices, making for a more relaxed experience for couples seeking a tranquil escape or solo travelers looking to explore without the rush.

For those interested in experiencing local traditions and culinary delights, autumn is particularly appealing. Many towns in Umbria host truffle hunts, grape harvests, and olive oil festivals during this time, offering unique opportunities to engage with the local culture.
