"This was an amazing house to rent. It was super cute and clean. It was walkable to the downtown. We stayed during the Bridges of Madison County festival and we were able to walk there. The host was great at communicating. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Winterset. "

"There is not one negative thing to say about The Cottage. It was perfect. We stayed four nights. Location is great, right on the lake, the home itself is warm and welcoming, fully furnished and equipped, parking right in front, two screened in areas, ceiling fans in all rooms, more beautiful than shown in pictures. Hated to leave and will definitely be back."

"Highly recommend a stay at the old stone farm! The owner was super responsive and helpful leading up to and during our trip. The place is absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed lazy mornings on the farm and ending out day around the fire pit at night. It was clean and cozy and the perfect background for curling up with a book and taking fun pictures outside. Our daughter loved getting to know all the animals and spent hours at the fence watching them do their thing and feeding them. The house is well appointed with everything you need to make fun dinners for the family or host as small gathering like we did. The house itself is a destination but it’s also an easy trip to Wintwrset or even Des Moines. Highly recommend you check it out. I’m sure it is beautiful in the spring and fall.
