“Love the location of this place with it being right downtown and close to a few places to eat. That being said, traffic can get a little loud! Comes as a warning that there are stairs…they are definitely more difficult when having to carry luggage up/down them, so take that into consideration if you’re bringing a lot. We were only there one night and our kids are old enough to help so it was fine. Not sure that the air was working great - would have liked it a little cooler while sleeping.……

“This property was outstanding in every way. Location to the downtown was an easy walk with a grocery store only two blocks away. The home was very clean and inviting both inside and out. King beds in every bedroom were comfortable and had lots of pillows along with fresh linens and towels. Quiet and relaxing made for the perfect stay.”

“The greenhouse was a quaint, perfect little getaway for my husband and I to celebrate our anniversary. The hosts thought of everything we could need for our stay, and even went out of their way to help me surprise my husband with a bottle of wine. They even provide some handy snacks for purchase if needed. A fierce hail storm rolled through during our stay, and that little greenhouse was able to withstand the storm! The included air conditioner worked well to keep the greenhouse comfortable……

“Staff was super nice and helpful. It’s close to Upper Iowa University for parents visiting their kids. The hotel was well maintained in the instead and out. You feel like you are in a hotel that has been in a Hallmark movie.”

“We love Decorah for a weekend getaway from the Twin Cities and the Bluffside Gardens was the PERFECT place to stay. It was right off the trout run trail so we could go biking right from our room without having to drive anywhere. Easy access to downtown and the room was very spacious and clean. We will for sure be back next year!”

“We were looking only for sleeping accommodations near Decorah IA and found this was perfect for 5 people.”

“We had 11 people to house at both houses which was very doable because of their close proximity. We also liked the access to town and country with the location. The game room was a great alternative when weather omitted outside trips. The Blue Villa's decor was very woodsy/homey; loved it's relaxed vibe. The Main house's AC had trouble keeping up but otherwise was fine. One thing to add would be a pancake griddle of some sort.”
