“For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. We found the furniture and beds comfortable. The kitchen had just about anything you could use, but a big pot to boil spaghetti. We……

“The cabin is very well taken care of. We 1st stayed when it was fairly new. The hot tub is excellent, clean, clear, and no chlorine smell. Quite and away from the hussle and bussle of life. ”

“The property was just what we needed for a long weekend with our family. Location was close to fun activities, shopping and food. I would recommend updating outside pictures of the property. The bushes were overtaking the access to the creek. I would recommend telling people to bring their own outdoor chairs to use at the fire pit. ”

“The creek is amazing. Deep enough to wade into. Location is convenient to Banner Elk (you have to try the Wilderness Run Alpine Coaster!!) and Boone (have to try Coyote Kitchen and Stick Boy!) While you're at it head up Beech Mountain in the summer and ride the chair lift to the top (there's a bar up there) and watch the mountain bikers ride down the mountain. House was convenient to all of this! Can't wait to return. Oh yeah, the homemade sour dough bread and jam are a welcome surprise. ”

“My husband, dog and I had a wonderful stay at Two Steps Down. It was perfect for us - clean, cozy, well-stocked and (best of all) right in the middle of everything in downtown Blowing Rock. We loved the fire pit! It was great to have a fenced in yard for our dog. We will definitely be back! ”

“Excellent stay on top of the mountain with a beautiful view from the deck for miles and miles. This is a great spot if you want to be alone. It is important that you realize this house is on top of a mountain. It is NOT suited for someone in a wheelchair. The walk from the parking spot to the house is up a severe incline. If you want to go for a walk on the road, it is a very steep road. This is great if you want to be isolated and everyone in your party is fit enough to climb stairs. We stayed……
