My check in time was very close to the time that the wedding ceremony started, so I was a bit nervous that I was going to be scrambling and possibly late to the ceremony. I arrived in the late morning to PlumpJack and asked reception if there was any way I could check in earlier. “This place is fantastic. It's directly in the village but there's a resort shuttle to get you there (10 minutes away). Plenty of food options on site, we mostly used the coffee/mini mart shop. But dinner was great at Sandy's. It has a walk to lift right there and a ski check for convenience. I doubt I'll stay anywhere else on our next trip back to Palisades.”

“Great place to stay. I'm not into fancy or boujee hotels, so when i give this place 5 stars, i'm not talking about a $1000 a night gold plated Hilton hotel room. I'm going to be using the room to sleep in, and chill after a day of adventuring. This hotel checks all the boxes for that. Good location right off the 80 in west Truckee. Easy parking. Comfy beds. Mini fridge and microwave. Continental breakfast with muffins, oatmeal, breakfast sandwiches or burritos. Some fruit, coffee, cocoa. Staff……

“As advertised, no surprises. We did the after-hours check-in, which was a little unusual, but worked well enough. (Arrive at main office, call number on the door, live person answers and provides you with a lockbox number and the code to get into that box. Walk around to the side of the main office building to find a cupboard full of a dozen or so lock-boxes. Would stay again.”
