“The best thing about the Mercure was the staff! Every single member was polite, courteous, friendly and helpful. The hotel has two wings and one side seems newly refurbished and the other seems rather tired and a bit jaded, but the standards were equally high in both. The food was very good, although the evening meal menu was limited choice the presentation and quality was good. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice in juices, cereals, hot cooked food, toast and croissants.”

“I stopped at this hotel for 2 nights and I was very impressed! We stayed in one of the executive double rooms which was a good size, clean and modern. The breakfast at the hotel was excellent as was the evening meal we had. We used the hotel as a base to visit Haworth & Hebden Bridge which is about 45 minutes away. The hotel show's as a 3 star but I believe this rating doesn't do the hotel justice! The only reason it has this rating is due to not having a lift. I would defiantly recommend this……

“Location..it has beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. ( need a car) Rooms are very comfortable, tea /kettle etc. Stairs are a little steep. staff are lovely ,had a very pleasant stay. We arrived Saturday lunch time, they had a party of 40 in, but fitted us in and it was delicious! staff attentive and it arrived quickly so all good, so I am very sad ( and surprised ) to say breakfast was poor ! we didn't opt for the buffet and cooked ,rather just the cooked, it took ages to appear……
