“The inn was very lovely with nice surroundings and clean rooms. It was bit odd to have a chair place adjacent to the gas fireplace but since it was so warm out the fireplace was not used. The bed was comfy, the ground pretty and the location very quiet.”

“The home is very welcoming and plenty of room for all our guests. The bedding was amazing, comfortable. The property was very relaxing and the outside area was very peaceful with a great view. I did not give this a 5 star because there could be some improvement. The stove did not function properly but did work. The main living area was a bit dusty with cobwebs on the light and in corners. The pool looked good and inviting but we chose not to pay to have it heated so we enjoyed the hot tub. All……

“The Occidental Lodge is a very charming, old-school lodge that is well-maintained and absolutely spotless. My favorite part was that there were no smells at all in the room, which I loved!The lodge is located in a tiny, quiet town that I would describe as a micro-country town. If you are planning a weekday stay, just keep in mind that the only things open are a little market and a breakfast café that closes at 3:00 PM. All of the other little restaurants nearby are only open Friday, Saturday,……

“Could not even check. My money was totally wasted. Made the reservation after 10 and didn't read the fine print that I would need to make arrangements with the hotel before 9 to get keys! Why did Expedia and the hotel take my money when I drove all that way and wasted that money for nothing! Extremely frustrating experience. Guess you always have to read the fine print. Corporate America is all too happy to steal your hard-earned money!”

“Amazing place especially for the price ($187/night). The staff were a little pushy about my checking out. I called and asked for a late checkout, they gave me 30 extra mins, housekeeping still knocked on the door and front desk called, while I was still in my extra 30 mins. But the property was great”
