“A excellent stay prior to a flight from Bristol Airport. Restaurant was excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. The staff made you feel welcome. Car parking was great and only 15-20 minutes from the airport. Will definitely stay again.”

“This was the very best hotel and staff. The room was lovely. Staff were friendly, and they couldn't do enough for you. They would do anything in their power to make your stay a pleasurable experience. I would strongly recommend the stay, with the Marina literally two minutes away, and the town center a 10 minute walk away. My only problem was the food. It's not the best, and don't have the breakfast you'll be wasting your money, it has very poor quality ingredients. You'd be better off eating……

“One night stay. Very friendly staff. Lovely village location with nice view of the Wye valley hillsides. Very reasonable pub standard evening meal, breakfast was spot on. The room was clean and comfortable with all the bits you would expect, kettle with tea and coffee, a nice bottle of sparkling water, TV, good quality soap and shower gel etc. Great value for a very reasonable price. Add in that they served a well kept pint of Tribute Ale.”

“A very nice hotel, the rooms at the rear of the hotel were former farm buildings which have been completely renovated. There is a wet room ensuite which is well appointed. The restaurant has a good choice of food which is excellently cooked and presented. The breakfast menu which has to be ordered the evening before was slightly confusing until I worked out that the price stays the same and you just tick your personal choices. Well sited and only 6 minutes from the Bristol Airport Silver Zone……

“Our stay was truly wonderful from start to finish. The venue itself is absolutely stunning—rich in history and full of character—and the gardens are simply breathtaking. Being able to walk down to the River Usk and wander for miles through the open fields was such a special experience. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, making it easy to relax and feel at home. What really set this stay apart, however, was the staff. “We have stayed here before several times but this time was really disappointing. We booked an accessible room but on arrival we were told this wasn't available and we were on the first floor. It was fortunate my operation for a knee replacement was postponed or I wouldn't have managed the stairs (no lift). The first floor room was stifling as it was during the ongoing heatwave. No fan provided. We went straight to get a cold drink (having driven 200 miles we were parched). Ordered the drinks……

“We had a great one night stay at Berwick Lodge on a a Monday to celebrate a birthday. The sun shone and the Housemartins flew happily around whilst we sat on the terrace having a cocktail. The à la carte menu was fantastic - well worth the cost and breakfast was very tasty. Will definitely stay again in one of the other fantastic looking rooms.”

“Excellent friendly hotel. Ample parking, clean and comfortable rooms. Restaurant excellent. Owners are very friendly. Nothing too much trouble. There was a minor set back with checking in. Check in from 4 but door locked. It was a little frustrating as I’d been working all day but wasn’t waiting too long. Hopefully was a one off as I will be surely checking in again when I’m in the area. ”
