His Cabin, Her Cottage

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Very rustic cabin in the woods where you can relax and enjoy lots of wildlife at the feeder near the front porch. You will have opportunities to see wild pigs, deer and all kinds of birds. The roads are rough and the country is wild there are 44 acres for you to explore and miles of public dirt roads the closest store is 15 miles away. There are numerous trails, lots of sea shell sea urchin fossils, arrowheads and pretty rocks for you to explore.

The space
This is a 1 bedroom with one queen bed.
It has 1 full bath and one 1/2 bath stocked with towels linens and sheets for the bed.
Kitchen has cooking pans utensils and flat ware and microwave oven and full size fridge.
Groceries and beverages of your choice should be all you need.
We do recommend rinsing dishes before using. (to nock the dust off)
The roads are fairly rough and get muddy if it rains(don't worry it hardly ever rains) but they stay passable if your concerned we will be glad to provide transportation in and out as needed.
This place has produced some amazing arrow heads and wonderful fossils so good hunting!!!!

Excellent stay at peaceful location

The cabin was a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty all around. The owners are welcoming and responsive to whatever we needed. We will be back!

Total Privacy and Huge Stars!!!

We spent the weekend here with my wife. Originally, we had planned to go to Las Vegas, but after years of visiting, we decided to switch things up. At the last minute, we thought this would be the perfect alternative. We drove through San Saba, grabbed a bite at Pecan House Grill, and then headed to the ranch. This place exceeded our expectations. The nostalgic charm of the place was unforgettable. It was spotless, and we had everything we needed. The highlight was relaxing on the porch, falling asleep while stargazing. The owner reached out via text to welcome us and even invited us for breakfast and church on Sunday. Not many places like this are left in Texas! Definitely worth a visit. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
