Cozy Lakefront Cottage on Little York Lake

Quiet lake getaway and only 15 minutes to SUNY Cortland and 30 min to Syracuse University with easy access to I81! Song Mountain is 10 minutes up the road and Greek Peak is only 25 minutes away! The cottage sleeps 4 with a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa. Whether you are looking for a quiet getaway or need a place to rest while visiting the area, Lily Pad offers it all!

The space is perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation for a small family. There are a variety of books and games to pass the time on a rainy day as well as a 75" smart TV where you can access Netflix as well as other apps.

The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans and utensils as well as an extensive spice rack. There is also an instant pot, toaster, microwave, coffee maker air fryer and food processor. There is an island with two stools and a large picture window overlooking the lake.

There is a king bed in the bedroom with a large dresser and closet. The living room couch folds out into a queen bed.

Tie up your boat to the private dock. Enjoy BBQ'ing lakeside on the gas grill and take in the evening sunsets on the large, shaded deck! Explore the lake with the two kayaks provided. Unwind in front of the lakeside fire pit. In the winter, cozy up in front of the gas fireplace.

Although a lake front home is thought of as a summer destination, this cottage is the perfect getaway year-round. Enjoy the fall foliage, apple orchards, local wine tours, great hiking or downhill skiing. Just minutes from SUNY Cortland, this the perfect spot for parents weekend or orientation or move-in weekend!

Lovely little cottage
We chose Lily Pad cottage as our base for the eclipse weekend. It had everything we needed plus some. Had it been warmer, I’m sure we would have enjoyed kayaking on Little York Lake with the kayaks provided. All in all, 10 out of 10!

Cute little Cottage
We loved our cute little cottage. My husband and I stayed overnight but we did enjoy inviting my twin sister and her family for a dinner on our birthday. The cottage had enough room for 3 cars and seated 6 so it was a perfect fit for us. It was close to the water and would have enjoyed the patio porch and kayaks if the weather would have been better. The owner was very cooperative and helpful.

This idyllic setting offered me the quiet space to think after busy days spent at a conference in Syracuse. My favorite was when I was sitting in the living space, with the fireplace burning as a blue heron flew past.

Overall very pleasant .. only a couple of things that need attention. The shower needs all tile to be renewed and caulked .. tub was slippery .. could have fallen.. install grab bars and non slip bath mat would solve this potential accident issue. The host was pleasant and accommodating! The internet was on and off.. this was not the fault of the host. The host sympathized and made calls into Comcast in hopes of fixing.

Lovely Lakeside Retreat
Nicely renovated 1 bedroom cottage right on the water. Owners provides everything you could imagine. Would be beautiful in the summer or winter. Very comfortable accommodations. Water access from dock only, no walk-in available. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful cottage with all the comforts
All the comforts of home. Beautifully decorated in cheerful colors and very comfortable bed. Hosts provide so many extras to make our stay enjoyable. Pretty view of Little York Lake with a nice deck to sit and watch water, birds, fish and boats. Convenient location. Great communicators. Can’t wait to return.

Vikki was a pleasure to deal with. Check in was easy with the information she provided and she was always available thru text message during our trip to keep us informed. There were plenty of supplies available for use which made meal prep at the house very convenient. The views are outstanding as you can watch the sunrise over the mountains from the back deck overlooking the lake. The location was also ideal for us as it allowed us to explore several areas nearby including Ithaca and Syracuse. Thanks for sharing your place with us.

Delightful respite
The cottage is so cute, clean, and full of thoughtful additions with guest's comfort in mind. It has lots of natural light in common areas, water views and easy multi-deck to pier access. Sunrises were lovely, as ducks meandered by, and light glistened off the rippling water, which is reflected on the ceiling of the living room each morn! We do wish wood had been supplied for the fire pit, but the cold temps and winter weather would have made our enjoyment of it brief, had we attempted a fire-side venture. The kitchen is beautifully equipped with gracious provision of a variety of spices, and pantry supplies freely offered. We felt right at home, were able to fully relax and enjoy our time away here. I would highly recommend this VRBO to others.

Such a cute little place!
Such a cute little place! Best rental around Cortland/Homer area by far. Unfortunately we didn’t have great weather but there were kayaks and a campfire and grill for use right on the lake! And Vicki was super fast at responding with any issues.

Perfect getaway
Place was a perfect getaway cottage. Clean, modern with all amenities. Kitchen was well stocked. My daughter slept on the sofa bed. She said it was very comfortable. Deck overlooking the lake is perfect to have lunch and dinner. Barbeque grill worked well. Plenty of hiking trails near by. Plenty of golf courses too. Vesper Hills golf course was on top of the hill overlooking a huge lake. Perfect sunset. Vicki was always very responsive and helpful.
