“If you are looking for a spot that has character this, is it, it was a cozy old place above a pub. We went in the off season, so we had the place to ourselves. Nice little bookshelf filled with some fun activities to pass extra time off devices too! The food in the pub was not great for the price we paid, but the breakfast was amazing! ”

“The property is centrally located and provides ease of access to many walks. There is a fully stocked supermarket nearby which provides foods and essentials and there are a number of good eateries within walking distance. The cottage is cosy and clean with all the facilities you could reasonably want. The kitchen is very well equipped. The hosts were very friendly and aoproachable. I heartily recommend this cottage for your restful break.”

“Great hotel for a great price. Dog friendly but if you don't have dogs, don't worry, there is absolutely no sign dogs have ever been in the rooms, no lingering dog smells etc. I've stayed here twice and on the second stay was in a room facing the road. I'm a light sleeper but wasn't woken by the traffic at all. There's no Aircon in the rooms but you are provided with a fan so be aware if you run hot. Facilities are brilliant and the free cake each afternoon is a nice added extra. Staff are all……

“Great hotel in a lovely spot, elevated above the road linking Matlock + Matlock bath. Comfortable and clean rooms with good space, and friendly, helpful staff. Evening food was really nice too. Definitely recommend 🌞”
