“Pleasant owner. Really unique and ecclectic place with a lot of character”

“Guesthouse room was ok, shared bathroom was good. Location was in a small town in the middle of nowhere, Kind of like the place for truck stops. Breakfast was included but we were leaving before it was available in the morning so the host brought it to us the night before (nice!). Check-in was a bit challenging as Reception was not manned. You have to go to adjacent restaurant and ask to be checked in. The instructions tells you to contact them beforehand but the phone is never answered.……

“We were notified by the Grindavik Guesthouse 1 day prior to our arrival that the town of Grindavik was closed due to volcanic activity. Even though the town was closed, the Grindavik Guesthouse refused to refund payment. ”

“This B&B has multiple estates. The photo here, however, only shows the best parts of these facilities. The room/ house we stay in definitely needs maintenance. The sofa is dirty with dark spots everywhere. The entrance got stuck and was hard to push open from the inside. The bathroom is only a simple shower, not the ones in the photo and is dim. The rooms on the floor we stayed on were very dim, as they were in the half-basement, and the air was kind of steamy. The price is cheap, though”

“Favorite place I’ve stayed in so far in Isafjordur. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Breakfast has a nice variety and location was quiet. I would stay here again!”
