NEW + Luxurious TREE HOUSE: SPA, LAKE & MOUNTAIN VIEW,1-Acre, Observatory

TREE HOUSES AREN'T JUST FOR KIDS ANYMORE

It's great for a romantic couple's getaway or families looking for that
SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON EXPERIENCE:

Be INTO THE WOODS, feel the energy of the trees with nature. Listen to the owls at night. Experience the privacy and solitude of being sheltered in a canopy of green and the sheer joy of calling a beautiful treehouse "HOME" for a little while.

This cozy Cabin was built 100 years ago on the side of North Peak Mountain. It overlooks Lake Cuyamaca. Guests love sitting on the deck outside with a glass of wine to watch the sunset over the lake.

Since 2014 Guests from all over the World travel here to stay at this spectacular tree-house cabin. No photo can prepare you for this beautiful location.
At an elevation at 5,000 feet on a Moonless clear night watch the sky fill with planets stars and shooting-stars. INTO THE WOODS.

WELCOME!

WELCOME...

INTO THE WOODS.
Your sense of adventure is here. Stroll across a floating bridge high above the forest to a cluster of large Coulter Pines supporting a treehouse. Go back in time. Remember as a child what it's like to live and sleep under the stars! Now, your childhood dream of staying in a totally tricked-out luxurious treehouse cabin can come true.

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS!
12 minutes to all of the fine dining and good eats that Julian has to offer and it's nearby attractions.

Watch deer from our treehouse deck listen to natures symphony of birds and crickets. This cabin is surrounded by three (3) towering mountain peaks.

COOL TRAILS are right here in our 1+ acre backyard...
Discover and walk through our Hidden-Trail! There are panoramic look-outs. View the desert, the National Forest, all the way to the Pacific Ocean. Lookouts can be found around our highest points on the Property at approximately 5,000 feet elevation.

VIEWS
Magnificent rocky mountains tower above. State parks and hundreds of miles of forested hiking trails in a National Forest surround this cabin. Area trees are estimated to be up to 400 years old!

THE FOREST
Our small treehouse Cabin opens to the outdoors for views and direct exposure to the forest. This exposure to nature provides a wonderful inspirational relaxing effect. Japanese call it 'Shinrin-Yoku' which translates to 'forest bathing'. The idea is simple: If a person visits a natural area and walks in a relaxed way, there are calming, rejuvenating and restorative benefits to be achieved. Studies have documented reduced stress, lower blood sugar, better concentration, diminished pain, improved immunity...

Taking in this forest atmosphere has become a cornerstone of preventive health care and healing in Japanese medicine. Researchers have established a robust body of scientific literature on health benefits of spending time under the canopy of a living forest. Many trees give off organic compounds that support “NK” (natural killer) cells that are part of our immune system's way of fighting cancer.

JOHN MUIR wrote:
“Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountains is going home. Wilderness is a necessity.”

Fabulous!
We both enjoyed the Treehouse inside and out. The views were magnificent. Weather was great. It was neat to see the fog come down and sweep past us during the storm the last night there! It’s so quiet and peaceful. Everyone in town was marvelous and the town restaurants were delicious too! Our favorite part…the 91 steps up and down! LOL You do get used to them and keeps your weight down! Oh and also the enormous pine cones! We don’t have them that size here in Delaware! We would definitely stay here again if we make it back! Thank you for such and cute little cabin and all the history on the walls!

Cabin/tree house
The cabin/treehouse was wonderful, relaxing and a place to enjoy the views and nature. This was one of my bucket list thing s I wanted to do. I turned 65 this year and my daughter gave me a gift card to go to a treehouse. I was worried about the stairs, but I just had to go. It was everything i want it, just perfect.

This property is great for a romantic getaway. There are some nice lake views and a secluded feel. The kitchen is one of the nicest I've seen in a vacation rental. We brought our own groceries and cooked our own meals. I will mention here that it is about a 20 minute drive to Julian. The house is a good size for 2 or 3 people, There are some nice areas outside to hang out in, which we didn't do because it was cold during our stay, but during warmer weather would be great. We would definitely stay here again.

Peaceful and beautiful
The view from this cabin was amazing. This cabin was so beautiful and relaxing. I loved the historical pictures of the cabin that were on the wall. Very quiet also. The house and jacuzzi were very clean. We found a great restaurant on the lake because Julian was way too crowded to even park. My only minor complaint is that we both thought that the pillows were uncomfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay!
Absolutely loved this treehouse! I stayed with my partner and son(almost 2 years old) and each one of us had an amazing time! My son loved walking up the stairs and exploring the hidden trails and forest area. I loved that it was so well thought out, every detail was considered. I felt like my son was safe every step of the way. None of the trails were too steep, the treehouse even felt safe for him to explore! He loved walking across the bridge to the treehouse. We enjoyed every meal on the treehouse which was lovely and peaceful and had incredible views. The first night the stars were so bright and beautiful they looked close enough to touch! The second night a fog set in but it was still beautiful to spend time in the cabin. I really appreciated the thank you card, coffee and complimentary coffee cake we were provided when we arrived. The host Rick and administrator Maria were so attentive and answered every message within minutes. Every moment of the stay felt thoughtful and intentional. Overall I absolutely LOVED our stay and hope to come back.

Loved the treehouse. Took my husband here to celebrate our anniversary and to view the meteor shower. Turned out to be the perfect location for both! The treehouse was relaxing. We had coffee on the deck nestled into the trees with a great view of the lake while listening to birds and squirrels, took a trip into town to visit the wolf conservation center followed by dinner, returned for a sunset jacuzzi followed by watching the meter shower in the dark sky from the lounge chairs from the “observatory” area. Perfect weekend!

Both Rick and Maria have been helpful and accommodating at every single stay we’ve had in every step of the process ❤️. This is our 4th stay thus far (guaranteed more to come) and they have remembered us every trip. They left us a thoughtful card this trip and even an apple pie in the fridge! It was so thoughtful and personal. Every trip we’ve made they have made us feel like part of the family, have been very attentive, properties have always been clean, beautiful, and this property and cabin went above and beyond expectations. I have not one negative thing to say about this property or management office 🙏🙏❤️. Thank you so much for a wonderful and much needed getaway! We re so grateful and plan to come back soon!

Nice isolated vacation
During these times I don't want to spend any more time around people outside my family than I have to. This place seemed perfect: isolated, nice kitchen so we don't have to go out to eat, on an acre. The kitchen is great and well stocked with plenty of pots and pans. There is even a hand held mixer. Outside there are some short trails, and the deck/tree house is very nice. You can sit out there and enjoy the lake view or at night stargaze. We only had a few issues. The bathroom is about as far from the bedroom as you can get without leaving the house. I typically get up two or three times a night to use the restroom so I did not find this ideal. The internet is spotty and also there is apparently a monthly allowance, so bring dvds. They have it set up so you can easily hook up a game console, but there isn't an extra outlet to plug it into. If this is something you plan to do consider bringing an extension cord. The bottom line is that you can't rely on internet here so plan. Download things at home and bring your own movies. We would stay here again
