“This was the perfect place to stay. It was quiet but not empty with the pool bar helping all of your needs. The staff are a nice family and so helpful. I fell ill one night and the amazing man behind the pool bar brought me aspirin and got his father to bring a thermometer. The balcony was great for our cheap date night and the kids around the pool loves the pool toys almost as much as my boyfriend did.”

“The apartment is excellent, the only downside is the proximity of the busy road and the noise. Several very good restaurants and the beach are all very close, there’s a choice of 3 supermarkets if you wish to self cater. There’s buses into both Chania and Agia Marina virtually on the doorstep and very cheap.Overall we enjoyed our stay at Villa Sonja, the front view from the apartment is fantastic, the agent and owner are very both helpful and responded to our queries immediately. Just one item……

“We spent three lovely days at the villa up in the mountains. It was full of rustic charm and very peaceful (the only sounds in the evening were goats and birds!) The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! It was served on the balcony of our room. I’d highly recommend that you have it when you stay! The owner is also very helpful and communicative. I had several questions throughout the stay and always……

“Very new and clean. Good location if you require parking, bus services about 150mts away. Also very very greek. Considerably amount of time spent on YouTube to work out how to use washing machine 😑. Also back to YouTube to get the hot plate to work. We only needed to warm a little milk for coffee. All the amenities.....except for a microwave. All in all a great property, a few instructions in a few languages would have made it an awesome property 😀 ”

"The hotel had a 80s decor and vibe, but the not-so-modern outlook is totally, if not over compensated, by the impeccable service, cleanliness, view at the breakfast restaurant, quality of food, and the ample size of the swimming pools which provide more than enough room for everybody to enjoy. We have had an amazing time there! I paid extra for a side sea view room because the picture looks like a frontal sea view, but it wasn’t, and I probably would not have chosen the same room type next time. "
