"Excellent surroundings - a lot of shadow, a lot of sun beds right next to the ocean - great! Good restaurant with nice place to sit and chill whole day. :) Rooms location is strange as it faces parking, not nice to spend time there, but rooms inside are clean and comfortable. The main drawback - NO POOL. The hotel is located in place with no beach, so at low tide you are not able to swim. Location of the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, no option for short walk etc."

When high tide, we could just jump in the ocean right down the house The staff is very friendly and polite. The Chef makes the best burgers ever. "I just got back from a 4-night stay at Riu Jambo, and honestly, if you’re looking for that postcard-perfect Zanzibar turquoise water, this is the spot. But like any big resort, there are a few things you should know before you book. The Location & Beach (10/10) This is the absolute highlight. Since it’s located in Nungwi, the tide doesn't go out for miles like it does on the East Coast. You can actually swim in the ocean all day long. The beach is pristine, and the sunsets from the jetty bar are probably the best I’ve ever seen. Pro tip: Head to the "See You" bar on the jetty around 5:30 PM to snag a seat for sunset. The Food & Drinks For an all-inclusive, the food was surprisingly good. The main buffet (Maisha) has a massive variety, but it can feel a bit like a "canteen" during peak hours because it gets very loud and busy. The Speciality Restaurants: We tried the Asian (Yunnan) and the Italian (Il Panzotto). The Italian place on the jetty is a must—the atmosphere is way more intimate than the buffet. Drinks: They don’t stingy with the drinks, and the cocktails are decent, though sometimes a bit sugary. The Rooms We had a lateral sea view room. It was modern, super clean, and the AC worked like a charm."
